    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More​

    Description
    Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

    Looking for the old version that runs on CraftBukkit 1000? We don't have it anymore :( Here's an archive of the old help post. If you're a new user, we REALLY recommend using Multiverse 2..

    People can't log into my 1060 Bukkit Server!:
    Are you using spout? If so, you need to upgrade it to a dev version or disable it until those guys release a 1060 compatible version.

    How do I know if I'm running CB XXXX or higher?:
    Type /version. The number here is your CB version:
    This server is running Craftbukkit version git-Bukkit-0.0.0-980-g4ed23b1-b1060jnks (MC: 1.7.3)
    Please check that this version is the same as one of those in the title of the post.

    I just installed Permissions 3.1.6, (which, by the way, I absolutely HATE being forced to do, in order to install a totally different plugin,) in order to install MultiVerse, but... for some reason, MultiVerse.jar sits in my plugin directory, doing diddly-squat. (As in - I install it, but it acts as if it's not installed.)

    Permissions is installed correctly, so... I have no idea why MultiVerse isn't functioning. My server just acts as if it (MultiVerse, that is,) is not even there. >_<

    Any idea why? Had it working, fine, several patches ago, but removed it, due to not having a need for it. =(

    REQUEST:

    Would there be away to toggle a gate on or off with a lever? I have adeventure maps on my server and I use multiverse to get my players there...but the worlds need resetting after each person uses it and so in the interm i need to either block up the gate or remove the destination.

    Could I just add a lever when creating the gate and only someone with multiverse.lever (for instance) could turn the portal on or off? In the off state it would just go to the nether...

    Did you get any errors on startup?

    Or the off state could literally turn the portal off, removing the portal blocks and preventing people from lighting it up again.

    Is there a way to make a gate where non-ops or a certain permissions group would get teleported when going through it and ops or a higher ranking permissions group would be able to walk freely through without teleportation? I want to use this as a spawn gate for my server to filter Builders to one world and Guests to another.

    This, or the opposite - prevent permission groups or non-OP's from being teleported, so it only warps those who have the node..

    I was actually talking about portal specific permissions as I though that multiverse already had a node for multiverse.portal.use but seeing as it doesn't that is a much needed feature also.

    I don't know if this is linked to Multiverse but sometimes when a player goes from one world to another the server crashes. Anyone else getting this?

    Multiverse is not reading from the groups.yml it seems...I white-listed admins and like so g:Admin and when i try to go through the portal is says I am not allowed.

    But I have I put my name...it will allow me to enter.

    Haha yes, but that's most likely your server, you'll need a small supercomputer to run over 10 worlds :p

    DISCLAIMER:
    THIS post is all about Multiverse 2. It is not yet released, so please don't ask why the features discussed here are not working on Multiverse 1. This message is just so you guys don't think Rigby and I are complete slackers :) Seriously. MV2. It's coming. Be ready.

    I think this is a bug in 1.x with groups, the white/blacklisting groups has been fixed in 2. It'll be out soon.

    THE MINECRAFT 1.6 CRAFTABLE MAPS DONT WORK ON MULTIVERSE WORLDS AND WHEN YOU MAKE A MAP ON A MV WORLD THE MAP NUMBERS GET MIXED UP UNTIL YOU RETURN TO WORLD OR WORLD_NETHER. I HAVE TRIED ON BRAND NEW CRAFTBUKKIT SERVERS WITH PERMISSIONS 3.1.x ON BUILDS 860, 935, AND 953 ALL GIVE THE SAME RESULT: BLANK MINECRAFT MAPS THAT NEVER GENERATE.

    PS THE MAP NUMBERS CHANGE A LOT WHEN DISCONNECTING AND RECONNECTING OR MVTP TO WORLD OR WORLD_NETHER

    I think i found a minor bug (major, in my case), in which i've only encountered with one other plugin...
    It doesn't allow me to tp to worlds with spaces in their names.
    it just shows me the command to tp instead. (/mvtp)

    Try surrounding the world name in quotes

    The reason behind this is how the command handler is structured, spaces separate arguments
    While the plugin is looking for "/mvtp worldname" you are giving it "/mvtp world name" and it is trying to treat world name as 2 separated arguments (world and name), because it can't understand that it assumes user error and gives you some help

    I don't know if it is MultiVerse related, but almost every time when someone dies and clicks respawn, they are instantly disconnected from the server for 'moving too quickly'.
    10:26:07 [WARNING] Player moved too quickly! Elapsed ticks: 1, Distance change: 176.5
    Multiverse is set to handle all respawning, and there are no other plugins that respawn players. (Except for factions: when player is in faction, he is returned to his faction home and everything goes well)

    If I set Multiverse not to handle respawning, players spawn at their beds, and they do not get kicked.

    Bukkit: RB 953, MultiVerse v1.7.2

    Give that a go, that's thanks to notch's anti-cheat stuff. Any player movement stuff done by plugins tend to kick for this reason. (haven't tested the plugin myself.)

    I have a problem, I have created a portal in world called portal1 and another in newworld called portal2.

    Set up the portals and destinations, I can go through portal1 to portal2 but not back again :/

    Running 1.7.2 on 953.

    I am having an problem.

    Players that play in survival can't teleport, so they go to creative and then teleport to a player in survival.

    This is verry annoying also because I am watching some people on x-ray hacking and they just teleport to me to check if I am watching somebody.

    So how can I disable that player can teleport cross worlds?

    I'd say (for now anyway) use Tele++ for your world travel as it has cross world permissions checking
