    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More
    Current Version: 2.2-AB

    Description
Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

Looking for the old version that runs on CraftBukkit 1000? We don't have it anymore :( Here's an archive of the old help post. If you're a new user, we REALLY recommend using Multiverse 2..

    Version 1.6.4

    • Fixed 0 Price Portals
    • Fixed a bug with new Portals
    • Updated for iConomy 5 (You will need to update to iCo 5)
    • Improved the PVP Setup
      • Now you no longer have to set the server.properties PVP variable to true... this is now completely done via the worlds config and properly stops PVP rather than preventing the damage from being applied.
    Version 1.6.3

    • Update for Minecraft 1.5 and CraftBukkit build 733
    Version 1.6.2

    • Contains updates/features which were introduced in 1.5
Version 1.6 - Thanks to 'fernferret'

    • Updated for CB Builds 600+
    Version 1.5 - Permissions 2.1+ - (V1.5 - 02/03/2011)[/U]

    • Fixed whitelist/blacklisting once and for all :), thanks to @ledhead900
    • Add permission node 'multiverse.portal.exempt' -- Basically means they don't have to pay the cost of the portal... this is useful for Donors and such.
    • Updated to use iConomy 4.1 -- Would be great if I can get feedback on this... as usual I can only test solo.
    Version 1.4 - Permissions 2.0 & 2.1 - (V1.4 - 26/02/2011 - 01:11 AM GMT)

    • Should be easier on high pop servers now
      • Only checks if a player is within a Portal everytime he changes BLOCK Coordinate instead of every single pixel footstep he/she takes.
    • Now Supports Permissions 2.1 -- Both 2.1 and 2.0 support have seperate JARs, so get the right one.
      • Also commands are properly disabled when a Permissions plugin is not found and it will alert the player trying to use the Command.
    Version 1.3 - Permissions 2.0 - (V1.3 - 24/02/2011 - 02:31 AM GMT)

    • Removed the 'Stupidly Long Constructor'
    • Fixed an error which was loading portals that were on a non existent world which caused errors later on.
    Version 1.2.2 - (V1.2.2 - 23/02/2011 - 03:05 AM GMT)

    • Nothing much just updated so it works with Minecraft Beta 1.3, I suggest you don't use a lower Multiverse build than v1.2.2 otherwise it won't work and errors will occur.
    Version 1.2.1 - (V1.2.1 - 20/02/2011 - 23:35 PM GMT)

    • Changed over to the new Entity Damage...

I'm using CB 818 and it won't let me create new worlds at all.
I even used the example (/mvcreate hellworld nether) and it just told me that that was not a valid environment, that the valid environments were either nether, normal, or skylands

in your particular case, I think you have to capitalize the world type. try it, for the sake of arguement.

you probably used sphereworld, whereas you have to use /world

Can the creator please update this for permissions 3.1? I REALLY need permissions for different worlds.

Was under the impression there were still issues with Permissions 3.x

Will look into it and see how long it would take to swap over.

Ok I've just been informed that the current versions do indeed work with Permissions 3.x and are currently being used with such by several servers.

What issues are you actually having?

Not possible through MultiVerse and I believe it would be a pain to add within Bukkit...

All you can hope for is the plugins themselves support multiple world setups and use something like Permissions to restrict the usage.

I am also having the same problem. Yes, i tried capitalizing, and i quadruple-checked the permissions. Perhaps its conflict with the "vanilla multiworld" (Nether)?

How are you typing it in?

weird teleporting: i set up a portal on two different worlds, each apparently linking to the other portal. when i go through one portal, they send me to some arbitrary spot of the other world instead of through the other portal. hmmm...

This is an issue with the current Recommended build. I believe the issue is resolved within build 819, however there will probably be some more fixes before a new RB is made.

For now you can download build 819.

I just setup a world as skylands by manually setting it up in the worlds file and it loads pretty much like any normal world. should there be any difference?

  18. Offline

    Rigby90

It is case sensitive so it would have to appear exactly as - SKYLANDS

If that doesn't fix it then can you list your CraftBukkit build, MultiVerse build and pastebin your Worlds.yml

is the issue with the skylands environment becoming normal land on server restart a known problem already?

/mvcreate FlatLand Normal (lowercase doesn't work either)

I've done some more testing, i can't use /mvcreate to make any new worlds at all, it always tells me that what i am typing in is an invalid environment.
i made one through the config file, and it did make it however when i tried teleporting to it it crashed my server.
are these issues with CB 818 or multiverse?

Try the 819 build that was released literally 30 minutes ago.

    Rigby90

Yes it's a known issue but the issue is within CraftBukkit, I've notified the right people and passed along a fix. Hopefully it will be pushed shortly, and should appear on ci.bukkit.org sometime tonight.

    try

    /mvcreate FlatLand NORMAL

1.7 has a tiny mistake in which means the Environment type needs to be in full capitals. This mistake has been fixed and we'll be pushing 1.7.1 shortly.

How are you typing the command, can you pastebin the error you got when the server crashed if any appeared.

That seems to have worked, thanks. Btw, is there any limit to the number of worlds that can be made?

  26. Offline

    Rigby90

That should work... I'll perform a local test now with that config setup and see what happens.

As many as your server can handle... basically what I keep telling people. The servers CPU/Memory would bottleneck at a certain point. Each world whilst idle consumes around 200-400 MB of RAM etc.

It seems that respawn is handled strangely since 1.6 Before, with Globalrespawn:false and alternaterespawn:true, when i died, i was respawned to the spawn of the world i was into. Now, no matter what combination I use (false/false, true/false, etc), I'm always respawned to the default world. And I checked, I haven't any other plugin handling death respawn (MyHome, mcMMO or anything else).

Is this due to an issue with CB ?

Oh, and I also wanted to thank you for your plugin. Very much. My server would be really sad without it's half-dozen worlds.

Copied your config word for word and the SKYLANDS loaded fine. Not sure what's going on here.
