Delete Blocks - Delete Blocks Instantly!

This plugin is used to remove blocks quickly and easily.
To use, use the command /delete or /deleteblock and all blocks clicked afterwards will be instantly removed. Type /delete once again to stop. The blocks will all be instantly transferred into your inventory, as is! That means that when you break stone, you get stone and when you break glass, you get glass!
You can choose whether to delete items like doors, buttons, and levers in the plugins/DeleteBlock/config.dat file.
Also, please make sure you have permissions installed, since this plugin requires it at the moment. Will be fixed at a later time.
The permissions command is: deleteblock.use

Fix title spacing, test against latest RB (#740, unless you typo'd), fix your post header, source code missing.

Also, does this just remove one block you click after you've done /delete or as much as you want until /delete is used again?

 

Ok, thanks. Fixing it right now. And it deletes all blocks until /delete is used again.

 

So this is kinda like world edits super Pickaxe yeah ?? A bit too overpowered for an RPG server . Good job though mate.

Ok i just installed it so i could give you testing data.

Verdict : Very Nice mate well made simple and easy to use.
I thought it wasnt dropping blocks at first but then i realised it goes straight into your inventory, fucking genius mate. Will add this to my creation server. 5/5 for simplicity

does this one get rid of bedrock in case someone griefs with an inventory editor?

Just tested world edits super pickaxe and it can so i suggest perhaps using that for the time being.

I have noticed a problem, when you have this activated and forget you go to place a block and delete one lol. Could you not configure to an item, like with world edit's super pickaxe???

Yeah, won't work since it triggers on block damage and Bedrock can't be damaged. I'll fix it ASAP.

Hmmm, might make that configurable. Will commence work on it later.

This would be a nice plugin to have to destroy hideous creations quickly.

 

One small bug.
When you remove a door you get either the lower part or the upper part of the door, not the actual door. This can be fixed by placing the part of the door and turning off delete, then remove the door part and place the door.

 

Fixed.

 

*sigh* Same thing with signs. You only get the sign part... But thanks for the door fix!

Also! If you break the top part of the door you get one door in your inventory and one on the ground!

If you end up making a config file:
Make an option not to brake doors, signs, and triggers (redstone stuff, buttons).

This is only a small glitch but it won't affect gameplay.
Removing a chest containing items makes a lot "more" items fall out of the chests, but when you pick them up they are the same amount as they were in the chest.

 

Added config file, and fixed all the stuff besides chests and the top of doors. Will look into fixing those, not quite sure how to atm.

 

can you add a feature where you can select the destruction size?
example
/delete 5 5
every hit deletes an square of 5x5 so you can build a tunnel very fast

Hmm, try reloading bukkit a couple times (/reload), also, whats the error you get in the console? You also need to install Permissions.

 

Does this work with any tool or just with a specific one? Would be cool if you could have it bound to a certain tool/item, i.e. a stick. It's not really important, it would just make things more organized. Love this idea btw, even better than the super pickaxe!

I'm getting the same error message too (the generic one) I think it's cause I have about 20 other mods on my server aswell, and the /delete /deleteblocks commands aren't working for some reason... can't think of another plugin that uses those commands... oh well

 

Got permissions? Maybe you forgot to add the line? o.o

 

You could check for incompatibility.
Temporairly move all non-essential plugins out of the server and leave only this one.
If its incompatibility the plugin should work fine.
If it does work fine, start adding your plugins one by one with a restart between every startup.
When it stops working, thats the plugin your looking for, and thats the one you can't use.

Before doing so, It might be due to a bad dl so try redownloading first.
I had that with some other plugins before.

Had to ask because I just realised newbies might not even get the whole "you need permissions to run half of the bukkit plugins nowadays" concept.

The way I did it was by using RuneCraft (also an amazingly fun plugin) and creating an Admin-Pick which lets you destroy bedrock... also fun if you want to build with it

The first post says that it is requires Permissions. I would guess GroupManager would work too.

Does this support multiworld?

As in, if you are able to delete blocks in one world, but do not have the permissions in another, would you still be able to delete blocks in that other world?

 

Make it an option or an permission to enable/disable it.
