An easy way to create shops - no protection plugin needed!
You don't need to be on-line to earn money anymore!
I've put a LOT of effort into making this plugin,
you can donate if you appreciate my effort =)

    - An economy plugin supported by Register or Vault, for example iConomy, BOSEconomy or Essentials Eco.
    - For additional economy plugin support - Vault
    - For Permissions: bPermissions, PEX, or any other permission plugin
    - For additional protection: LWC, Lockette, Deadbolt
    - For other item names (aliases): OddItem

Copy the .jar file from the .zip you downloaded into /plugins folder.
You can also copy the example files if you want to generate statistics page.

You can change the plugin's language, here's a list of all user-made translations.
If you want to update or submit a translation, feel free to PM me.

    How to create a ChestShop?
    - Place a chest, if you haven't already.
    - Place a sign 1 block near the chest (for example, above the chest)
    - On the sign, write:

(Item name can actually be item ID or alias)
First line will be filled in by the plugin automatically.
Price is a combination of buy and sell price.
You have to have B near buy price (people buy from you), and S near sell price (people sell to you).
If you have both B and S, separate them with a colon - :
    For example:

means that AcrobotPL wants to sell 64 diamonds for 10 currency, and buy them back from you for 5 currency.
Also, if you put "free" instead of price, it is free to buy or sell :)

    - Now, when you finish editing the sign, if LWC is turned on in config, shop will be automatically created.
Also, if your default protection is turned on in the config, people won't be able to break chest, sign or the block the sign is on.

    What is an Admin Shop?
Admin shop is the shop that doesn't require a chest, because it has infinite stock.
If you sell to it, the items will disappear, and if you buy from it, items will magically appear.
To create one, you have to be Admin/OP. Just put "Admin Shop" (or anything specified in config file) on the first line of the sign.

Restricting shops to some groups or regions
You can either use permissions, or you can just put a sign ABOVE shop sign (you need to be in that group to create the sign) to restrict it to players with ChestShop.group.groupName permission
    The syntax is:
Only those groups will be able to use that shop

To restrict a shop to some regions:
    - If you're using Towny, turn TOWNY_INTEGRATION on. Residents will be able to create shops in economy plots (either their or, if specified in config, any)
    - If you're using WorldGuard, you can use an experimental "chestshop" flag. Turn WORLDGUARD_INTEGRATION on and flag a region. (f.e. /region flag ChestShopRegion chestshop allow)

Do you want to limit the maximum prices for items?
Well, there's an app.... wait, not that : P
You can use an experimental feature in ChestShop.
In your config.yml, add lines like:
    max-buy-price-5: 14
    max-sell-price-5: 15

That means that the maximum price for items BOUGHT by PLAYER is 14, and items SOLD by PLAYER using the shop is 15.

You can also use a global setting, like this:
    max-sell-price: 200

That means that the maximum price for items SOLD to PLAYER is 200 (if there is, for example, a max-sell-price-5 found, it will be used instead of the global sell price)

You could buy and sell by right and left clicking the sign for a long time.
Now it's the only way to use the shops.
    It's SIMPLE!
Just LEFT-CLICK to SELL to shop, and
    RIGHT-CLICK to BUY from shop.
(This can be changed in the config file)

If you want to delete your old shop, simply SNEAK and destroy the sign.
    It's that easy =)

You can either open the chest and stock it up, or click on your own sign - it will open chest's inventory (that way you can have chests not openable by other people for sure :D)

    ItemInfo command
It's a simple command that shows item information.
If you use it without any arguments, it shows you information about the item you're holding.
If you specify item id or item name after the command, it will show you information about that item.

    Source code
    ChestShop is Open-Source =)
You can find its code on https://github.com/Acrobot/ChestShop-3

I dont use permissions, i use GroupManager, can i still use this? Because when i installed the plugin and put a sign above the chest it sais:
    [iConomyChestShop] Config file doesn't exist!
[iConomyChestShop] Be sure to copy everything from .zip file to /plugins
    [iConomyChestShop] Aborting!
How do i fix this? :/ i didnt get a config file and when i copy everything from .zip file it still doesnt create a config file..
    Thanks in advance...
  8. how to do you sell coloured wool, do i have to install odditems
  9. Offline

Totally ignored way back there, but I'm still looking for a little more explanation on the admin shop function..

im also wondering how to sell coloured wool. when i use 'Wool' on the bottom line like before, it just gives me white no matter what colour is in the chest. thanks.
  11. Offline

Can't do anything about it, bukkit team changed this :/

Do you use any translation? If not, it's my fault then :)
    @Kieron Etherimgton
OddItem is not needed anymore :) If you want to sell birch, just use 17:2 or WOOD:2, or odditem alias.

In my main post there is a .zip file. It's here: http://forums.bukkit.org/attachments/iconomychestshop-zip.2820/

Admin shops can't use economy system ATM, I may make it so if it finds any account with name "Admin Shop" it uses it.

Not possible, I am going to try to do something about it.

im actually trying to set up for wool, not wood. but neither seem to work with that kind of item code.
  13. Offline

Well what about if it looks for the closest name on the server/in iconomy So like if the sign says rmb it looks for a simlar name which could be rmb938.

The plugin must work when the player is offline too... And I am not using any database for shops yet.

    Update iConomyChestShop?

I've got some issues. Most shops work fine, but any shops selling IRON_INGOT or COAL don't take/check items from the inventory when buying, instead it takes the first item from your inventory, regardless of what it is, and regardless of if you have the iron/coal required.

    git-Bukkit-0.0.0-659-gc210f22-b684jnks (MC: 1.4)
    Permissions 2.7
    iConomy 4.65
eg: Player has no coal, has iron sword. They left-click on the store, it takes away their iron sword, gives them coins.
Log acts as if nothing is strange:
2011/04/25 17:49:32 [iConomyChestShop] Player sold COAL with durability of 0 to OtherPlayer for 1 Coin

Works flawlessly man. Thanks again :)

It's a great plugin. I only have one problem with it right now and I'm pretty sure it's really easy to fix. When I'm trying to make an admin shop, everything works except when I want it to only buy or sell stuff. This is what I write :

    admin shop

It should work but it breaks the sign and it says : Can't make shop with negative buy/sell price. I'm guessing that your error is in your condition where you probably wrote value > 0 instead of value >= 0. I changed the 0 for 1 or another value greater than zero and it works. Anyway, good work.

    Thanks !

It doesnt let you set buy/sell to 0 so you cant not buy or not sell. Please fix. MC 1.5

Possibly an odd question. Do the signs no longer detect what is in the chest? I used to put the material in, then make the sign and just put the amount and buy/sell prices. It filled the rest in. Now, it kicks the sign off and says invalid item ID.
  22. Offline

They don't, it caused too much trouble, really :/ I may make it so it puts automatically first item from chest on the sign. I use /iteminfo command and it works really, really well :)

What do you mean by "doesn't work"?
  23. Offline

Awww. Alright, thanks for the quick answer. I was going nuts wondering what i had done wrong. @.@

Thanks again for creating and maintaining a great plugin

Any chance for dispenser support? More so to treat a dispenser in the same way with a chestshop sign; we use it for converting iron/gold ingots to iConomy currency, and a dispenser would make the perfect visual representation of a converter.

    - Drop ingots in dispenser.
    - Get your account credited, hurrah!
  26. Offline

I would really gladly do that, but there are no inventory events :/
  27. Offline

Doesn't work, the sign don't change when i put it in front of the chest.
    My sign :

And it doesn't work, help me, i have Permissions and iConomy.
  28. Offline

Ah, bugger - do they not work the same was as chests for added items?
  29. Offline

    CraftBukkit version?

I don't actually understand, you want people to drop iron into dispenser and getting money? It would work, but it would need a sign anyway.
  30. Do you have any plans for having decimal price amounts anytime soon? I've noticed that prices have to be whole numbers.

    @Ballistic Buddha
Sure, I think it's only a change from int to float, but it should be rounded if player uses BOSEconomy.
