Signs will be used to trade normal items back and forth to each other and set up shop signs easily. Player1 makes a Trade sign Line1 - [TRADE] line2 - <amount> ItemID <--- The item(s) your Selling/Trading line3 - <amount> ItemID <--- The item(s) your trading for line4 - Auto filled with Player1's name Signs will also use a Custom item description file that will also use Chat Colors so signs will show the items not the numbers. Example: sign Setup made by player1 Line1 - [TRADE] Line2 - 1 278 Line3 - 9 266 Line4 - Looks like: Line1 - TRADE Line2 - 1 DiamondSword Line3 - 9 Gold Line4 - Player1 So player1 is selling 1 Diamond Sword for 9 gold now player2 walks up with 9 gold and right clicks the sign 9 gold is removed from inventory and they receive 1 Diamond Sword after a player buys the item the TRADE changes to SOLD and player1 comes back and breaks the sign to receive his gold The signs should only last a set amount of days until they disappear and all is lost so trade houses are not filled with useless trade signs. Also trade signs should only be placed on BedRock above lvl 40 so people can't dig to bedrock and create black markets. This will let Admins create Public Trade houses at spawn or in Towns I'm very willing to pay for a developer to make this plug-in I think it would work Very well for the Servers that don't use iconomy and have a Gold bar system.
i didn't miss anything. Essentials also has a sign trade system. but the options that i need are not there. these options make maintaining a good trade house simple and VERY user friendly. if you saying you plug-in will use item names on signs and let players only place them where i say then yes i missed it. it not think about adding the detail of my methods for a Admin/user friendly trading system
I'll take a look at doing this. --- merged: Feb 27, 2011 10:12 AM --- Question for the OP: What about standing orders with sign ratios? For example: Line1 - TRADE [10] Line2 - 1 Diamond Sword Line3 - 9 Gold Ingots Line4 - Player Still indicates this sign sells 1 diamond sword for 9 gold ingots, but the order itself can be filled 10 times. The Player would be able to add more swords at any time. Another example: Line1 - TRADE [640] Line2 - 128 TNT Line3 - 24 Diamond Line4 - Player Indicates this order can be filled 5 times.
System is flawed. Your using a database and this causes minor load and high load on large servers. Why not use a chest for a storage system? Also change it to looking to DONATE as they don't like the paying part.
That sounds like a possible feature for my port of TradeCraft. As it is, you can trade items for gold (or whatever the server set its currency at). I like where this could go. Kane, is this the sort of thing you mentioned on the TradeCraft thread? Sorry I didn't reply to that earlier
