Ok, I am quite confused after about 3 hours of using google.

So I want to buy a desktop to host bukkit on.
As far as I can tell bukkit is multithreaded or what ???
So, do I want to buy the hyperthreading thing ?
    And do I want quad-core or dual-core ?

Will the hyperthreading make the server faster ?
Also I'm hoping to be able to have 50+ players on mi server.
And the computer will run bukkit and nothing else (which I'm still trying to find out how to do)

Get a quad core, hyper-threading is a plus but not required (especially with a quad core).

So the hyperthreading makes it faster then ?

As far as i can tell hyperthreading only works for some programs ? it is good for bukkit then ?

It won't help bukkit, but it will help Java and the garbage cleanup processes. Bukkit/Minecraft is not multi-threaded, but java is.

Also, do you have enough bandwidth for 50 players?

    bandwidth ?
I am buying a tower and hosting it at my home.

ok so another question on that, if i get quad-core can i run 3 bukkit servers 1 on each processor and have java and garbage cleanup run on the other processor ?

should run fine that way, i was running 2 servers on a dual core just fine, just get a butt ton of memory (which can be had for $10/gig with DDR3 so 16GB would be $160)

EDIT: about your bandwidth, what is the upload speed from your home as most consumer connections are terrible on that end
