    I don't think you can typecast a Bukkit player as a SpoutPlayer.

    I really want to use the Spout plugin. But Whenever i add it to my server, Whenever i log on, nothing happens. i type something and it only shows up on the Console. When i removed the plugin it was normal again. I dont know whats wrong. I tried using the spout client, no difference. i walk around and no chunks load, no animals move, and i cant do any commands or type anything. I dont know whats wrong. There are no errors. If you help me ill give u cookie :D

    CB build?

    You can cast, but the method SpoutManager.getPlayer is much safer

    We are currently having an issue with dev build

    Do NOT use the option to use dev builds, it will break your spoutcraft installation, we are currently trying to fix the issue in our jenkins, it is marking failed builds successful. Therefore it is downloading failed builds to your installation if you are using the dev option

    I think this was fixed in a dev build, I have also heard if you use cb 1040 it will be fixed

    Well i cant go any heigher then the recomended build or Mobdisguise wont work. any other recomendations?

    Oh, it is just events that allow us to detect things like inventory opening/closing/etc

    Wait till we release a new version, it shouldnt be too long :) We want to get a bug fix out

    I downloaded Spout for my server.
    Im not sure if the problem is with Spout or Transporter.
    I have a portal setup into a friends server. and he does vise versa.
    Anyways. for some reason, I can go threw my portal to his, and back with no problems.
    He can come to my server with no problems, but when he tries to get back threw to his server.
    It sits at Connecting to server. Then soon after it times out.

    Any ideas?

    Every time I add this to my server, I get tons of error messages and the whole server crashes. All I'm doing is moving the "Spout.jar" into plugins. What else do I need to do?

    Could you put the actual files for the client side up in the thread, for those people who like to do it manually?

    A: list your plugins here including the version (if you run worldguard use /wg report)
    b: be sure that you dont have BukkitContrib installed or BukkitContribEssentials

    they are located on the jenkins page of spoutcraft

    @alta189 a player on my server gets: internal exception: received string length longer than maximum allowed (2816 > 16). when he connects to my server with spout client

    Why can't people just ran as is? Just run it, don't touch it.

    I got that too when using Dev version.

    I've just tested build #38 that fix the critical crash bug when users wiht BC 0.1.3 (possibly older) connects to a Spout server. Didn't work. :(

    Getting the error:

    This is planned, thanks for reminding us. ;)

    The spout client is not authenticated until onSpoutCraftEnable is fired. Listen to that event. It happens ~1s after onPlayerJoin.

    I suggest you contact @Raphfrk , he is the ServerPort expert. ;)

    Jenkins is having a couple issues atm and is reporting failed builds as successful. Try again in a few hours. :/

    Hey, I know you shouldn't have to do this but could you possibly give me the link to the files and tell me which of them that I have to place in my minecraft.jar to just add spout to my current minecraft?

    Well, Transporter is not my plugin :), but it is based on the same idea. What I normally recommend is that you try to connect without the patched client.

    When you teleport from server to server it will give you a kick message telling you what server to reconnect to. That way your friend can see if he is being sent to the right place.

    What might be happening is that your server sends players to his external IP address, when they try to teleport to his server. Some routers don't support loopback so when he tries to connect to his external IP, then all his packets are dropped and it times out.
