In order to centralize support of our legacy projects, we will no longer be providing support on Bukkit. Please use for support with our projects going forward.

That is a Vanilla Minecraft setting! You can player a cracked client on a vanilla minecraft server. Mojang added this option incase the server went down

I don't condemn them offline servers, I do not support cracked clients. If I support them I can be sued by Mojang, for making a cracked client.
If someone can afford a computer to play minecraft, then why can't they afford a copy of Minecraft that is SO much cheaper

DO NOT MOD THE FILES IN .spoutcraft

I have a user running on a Mac. They're trying to get Spoutcraft.jar to run, but they can't. I suggest using the command line and using Jar Launcher, but he says neither works. Is there Mac support? If so, what do?

For all of you interested: I've been working on adding an offline mode to the Spoutcraft launcher. I didn't push it to github because it has no GUI yet (console ftw!), but it's still something. If anyone has a good idea on how to implement protection/ownership checks, I'm open for suggestions ;) Currently doing it the Steam way, e.g. you log in online -> you can play offline later.

Also, I've got portable mode in. All you need to do is "java -jar Spoutcraft.jar --portable" and all the data will be stored in ./Spoutcraft folder (for those not into Unix, it's the Spoutcraft folder in the folder you run Spoutcraft.jar from).

If they're getting an allowance or a job, they probably have a kids bank account already. I very rarely see kids paying with cash when I go to the movies.

Heck, they can get an official job at 14, so they might even have direct deposit.

Worst case they borrow their mom's card and pay them back. There are many ways to purchase stuff online.

    Im already adding that

i don't know what to do. I want use mcMMO and Mywolf. What i must install? Does i need Bukkitcontrig or Spout or bukkitcontrib and spout? And then what i must install? Only the Spout Plugin or anything else?
  11. Offline

How do you get your own server onto the public listing?

Install Spout, then install the latest mcMMo and Mywolf. Bukkitcontrib was the previous name of spout. So Spout > bukkitcontrib.

Okay thank you, and now i have the spout launcher? What is it good for? And how can I install a texturepack in .spoutcraft?

I have a couple issues that if i could I would like to have addressed, one being the xyz under F3 both on bukkitcontrib and the new spout, the xyz has been removed, I use this when building all the time so would like to know how to get it back. The other is allocated memory. I made a .bat file to allocate more memory to the original minecraft exe file but doesn't seem to work when i edited the .bat file for the new spoutcraft launcher...any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated...amature at best...i wear my noobish badge with pride

You put it in the texturepack folder

F3 Will be removed by notch later in the fall. The x, y, z have been removed for a long time(By bukkitcontrib). I am working on the allocated memory issue

I wish i had known that before I installed bukkitcontrib...sighs bites the bullet on that one...I just installed it today actually trying to get a plugin to work...that incidently doesnt' work now with the new spout, but i'll be patient about would be awesome if the control file for the executable jar file had an option to allocate more memory like under advanced options or some such (i know nothing about programming...just enough to get me in trouble lol)

Looks like an interesting change in direction, possibly. I look forward to what you guys may do with this. I do have a number of suggestions you may find interesting though. I was considering making my own plugin for it after a while, but I'm still quite inexperienced with java. I figure you guys would do it much better than I anyway.

Custom GUI elements downloaded on server join.
You may already be in-progress on something similar. This would basically implement a way for plugin authors to create custom GUI elements that are visible to the Spoutcraft clientside. The GUIs would essentially perform commands and display the effects.
The possibilities of this are nearly endless.
    • Custom mana/stamina/whatever bars.
    • Custom chat boxes
    • Custom achievement panels (Namely for plugins like Achievement)
    • Custom server-only options panels.
    • Visual /i or /give commands by simply clicking an item icon.
    • Player profiles ingame.
    • Far too many more to list
The way I'd imagine this would work is:
Spoutcraft client connects to the server, server sends the GUI information to the client, much the same way BukkitContrib worked; client loads the UI and can now interact with it. Interactions with the UI perform commands, results occur. When the client disconnects, the UI is unloaded, but cached in a folder somewhere. Maybe.

From what I'm seeing, this might be possible with what you already have built up, and I figure now would be the time to suggest it since you're making the move from BukkitContrib to Spoutcraft.

As a side note, with this idea the issue of GUI overlapping may occur, to combat this I propose the idea of allowing the clientside user to move any GUI element onscreen anywhere they like, unless it's locked in place by configs.

Again, if this is something you've already had in mind/are already working on, my apologies for the long-winded, pointless post.

Thanks for your time and effort.

@Bdl2 There is already a api for custom gui, I'm sure there will be a toomanyitems plugin some time soon.

Up until today I had no problems with bukkitcontrib on my server but as soon as Spout was implemented I get conflicts with both Jobs plugin and Regios. Here is what I get from Regios if I attempt to place a block within a zone blocked off. Outside of the zone I get no problems.

Now my server is messed up because of this :(

@Daolin1 Some things just don't work with spout, allso make sure to either remove bukkitcontrib or spout. You can't run both at once.

I get this over and over.

I believe Ore to Client Obfuscation was the problem. Removing it removed the errors.
