Deny people making netherportals

Hello,

Since netherportals pop up randomly on surface if you make them in the nether, id like ordinary players to be unable to make any. Its ok if they build the frame etc., but igniting it with flint and tinder should not activate it.

 

You might just be able to deny players at certain ranks use of the flint and tinder

 

Worldguard can blacklist the use of flint and steel. But I've found that lightning strikes can still ignite them (though very rarely, haha)

Or set allow-nether=false in server.properties.

 

From the looks of it, he only wants people with certain permissions to be able to build portals.

 

I can make it they cant place fire on obsidian would that be ok?

 

That would be great! Thats the only thing holding us back from enabling nether, we dont want people plopping up portals from inside the nether to the overworld.
