Hi, Recently I went to setup a Minecraft server using Bukkit to play with my friends. They told they would lagg really bad sometimes. So I was wondering what would be the best settings and configurations for my server based on my hardware and internet performance? I usually play with 5 to 6 of my friends, but I wish to configure the server to handle 10 to 12 players at any one time. My laptop's specifications: ASUS K43SJ Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz (4CPUs) 8192MB RAM DirectX11 Java version: 1.7.0_04 b22 (64bit version installed) Hamachi installed but not using it. CraftBukkit build: "This server is running CraftBukkit version git-Bukkit-1.2.5-R3.0-b2203jnks (MC: 1.2.5) (Implementing API version 1.2.5-R3.0)" <--- from server.log Commands used: I'm using Kanshunin's Bukkit Server GUI v1.1.4454 - Link: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/to...1-4454-a-net-gui-for-the-bukkit-server.27249/ So under the "Custom Memory String for Java", I typed in "-Xmx1024M -Xms1024M" Plugins: Spectate, DroxPerms, IPLog, Craftpedia, BukkitHTTPD, RemoteToolkitPLugin, Essentials, CS-GUIPlugin, BoxxWorldMap, AntiCheat Internet Performance: I connect to my router using WiFi. Note: Sometimes I would be sharing the bandwidth with my brother. So, in that case, download would drop to around 26+Mb/s. I'm fairly new to Minecraft, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
