   Is there a plugin that allows me to color the names of players/player groups in the player list in-game when you press the TAB key?

   Yes, there are a few of them. But please know that they accomplish this by using the global scoreboard which makes any other plugins using scoreboards to be incompatible such as ArmorHUD or PotionHUD.
   
   Plugins: TabColor , ColoredTabList , Sajicek's TabColor , SimpleTabColor

   Yea but its not compatible with mobarena, it will crash the players client after they leave each game.
