Question like that , country prefixes works with herochat? If not, it's a suggestion Also I said tomorrow cause i'm still with 1.3 , waiting for worldguard to be 1.4 compatible. My server has a lot of players coming from everywhere in the world, so it's a must have.

 

That sounds awesome, but yea i also wait until some plugins are 1.4 compatible before i update bukkit :/

 

Already working on intergating other plugins as HeroChat . And I might fix an version for build #556 in a second.
Also, a little warning when using the plugin, the server needs a decent bandwith. As the plugin translates every message to every player's language.

 

The GeoIP features such as the country prefix and suffix are upcoming features. Once we have added those, we are hoping to have compatibility with HeroChat and other chat plugins.

A lot of plugins are already updated and 1.4 compatible. I am right there with you though with a couple of my favorites. I've been playing without a couple plugins or replaced them temporarily with others.

I don't know if it is just me, but the links for the wiki don't work. It says I don't have permission to edit the page, while I never clicked anything to edit the page.

I'm going to test the plugin right now anyways. This plugin is so cool =D

 

Sorry about that, I haven't actually made those pages yet as there isn't much to put on them haha. I will do that now though.

Compatibility with other chat programs (don't destroy formatting for example)
Option to use Altavista BabelFish (Far more accurate)

 

Already working on both points! Also adding an API so other plugin devs can translate the messages they are sending to the players.

We were just talking about adding additional translation services such as Microsoft Translate and BabelFish.
Options for each will be added in an upcoming release.

It's looks great. However, it won't work for Chinese or Japanese, because minecraft can't display either word on the screen.

 

We'll look into it and see what can be done.

 

Going to look for a solution tommrow, seems to be something how Google Translate sends their translation.

I really like your brilliant idea. but Minecraft currently does not support UTF-8. so Many non-alphabetic languages like Korean, Japanese and Chinese can not be shown and Thease can not take advantages of this plugin.
I am so sad.

 

We used the whole day to figure this out, and the only way is to install a client mod that enables Unicode in minecraft.

This plugin is amazing thing, but allways better to know the foreight language than a have a crappy google translation

 

True true, but at least it's something as not everyone knows every language and usually the Google translations are still fairly accurate, but not necessarily proper grammar.
We'll be adding other translators eventually as well.

 

brilliant. If only it worked. Does not translate and instead makes my user's say "null" when they chat :S

Also SimpleAutoReply doesn't work with this plugin.
