cb714=98%cpu java cb684= <30%java idle (for bukkit team info)

ok first, yes its not a recommanded build but i figure this may be of use to the bukkit people even if they cant fix it!

os windows xp 32bit
ram 3 gig
startup line from run.bat
java -Xincgc -Xmx1412m -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar

also tried the example in the get craftbukkit tutorial

i tired to update to 1.5, i backed up the server, copyied the files to my laptop then proceded to update each plugin read what works etc...6 hours latter my laptop is running the server at 1.5 fine.

so i log into our server pc (its a home pc ran at a mates house on a 50meg line) copyied the files across to a new folder and ran the server only java went wild (right up to 98% ) if you log in theres a delay of nearly 60 seconds before anything takes effect

well i decided to try my home pc (windows 7 64bit 4gb ram) this time back to basics
i created a new folder
copied the cb 714 file to it and the server.properties file
made a new run bat (that used the program files 86 folder)
ran it
closed it (after it created the world and other files)
ran it again java 5% cpu idle
connected it worked fine java 40% cpu when connected but no lag

copied that folder to the server pc modiefied the run command (just changed location of java.exe)
ran it
98%cpu when idle
connected huge lag

uninstalled all versions of java
used a java cleaner tool
reinstalled java from the website

loaded up server ...java 80-98%cpu idle
huge lag

restored back up of server (cb 684)
ran it 10-30%java cpu idle
(cant connect...im on 1.5 lol)

its got me stumped clearly an issue with 714 and windows 32bit but no idea how to fix

any one have any ideas?

 

Try version 712.

Low CPU use for me.

cb 712 98%cpu use on java
cb 719 98% cpu on java
cd 720 98%cpu onjava

so i went to the first craft bukkit that supports 1.5 cb 689 ...98% cpu on java

hmmmm could it be the mincraft 1.5 server software...
downloaded the vanila server file from minecraft.net ...98%cpu usage on javaw

is that it for our server pc is mincraft now beyond its capabilitis or is this an os error? (windows xp 32bit....very old install!)
