Capes possible?[not spout]

Is it possible to with bukkit/CB to get a cape?

 

Nope, since the client get's the cape and skin via the name of the player.

 

There are player that have a cape without spout, but that was a giveaway at Mincon 2011 =(

 

so, if you spoof the name, you should be able to get a cape?

 

What do you mean by spoof? If you "rename" that one player you'll not only get the name and cape, you also get the skin of that player.

 

And renaming isn't possible with a plugin anyway, correct?

 

Do you know the minecraftSP client? With this one you can even have these ears of deadmau5. and capes too. you in fact are these persons

Not with the bukkit api, but with the use of NMS calls.

so, there is no way of changing NMS so that it only gives the cape and not skin/name?

 

Not because it's retrieved client sided.

 

He means offline server, there isn't such thing as "cracked server", only cracked client.

You should have a look at the mob desguise plugin, I belive you can desguise as other players, desguise as Notch and see if you get a cape.
