Cant place things

Hi, so I recently used craftbukkit and I copied my world/map files from when I was using just standard minecraft_server.jar to craftbukkit (As I dont want to lose my map). Now however when I try to place something down, it places and immediatly disappears into my hand again. Why so?

are you within 16 blocks from spawn and not an op? Because you probably have spawn protection on

 

Spawn protection is on 16, but I AM an op in fact. I mean, I run the server. I used a craft bukkit installer if it makes any difference. This is new to me, and things seemed to work fine, commands did at least. I can use /god and such but placing things just isn't working.

Update: I just tested it on a created account (Non-OP) with the spawn protection line deleted. The same problem occurs however it takes a few seconds to put the item back into my inventory.

That's it. Essentials and World Edit don't play nice, That's probably why your having problems. It MIIIGHT even be World guard, just because that uses the world, but i doubt it.

 

Right, so what do you recommend I remove in that case? And would I just delete its .jar and folder from plugins?

Have done so, did not work. Still does the same. Imma make a quick video showcasing what happens aswell to help.

 

WorldGuard might be the issue trying removing that for now. And are you in the right usergroup that allows building?

 

I have not set myself into any usergroup. I have just added my name as an op in the ops.txt. I dont even think I have any groups to be honest. I haven't touched with that.

When using permissions the OP file is ignored in most plugins. You may need to set yourself a group and make sure the allow build is on.

 

And I'd do this properly how exactly? Also, if it ignores it. Why am I stilla ble to use /god and /help and such when a newb account doesnt?
