Can player access my computer?

Ok so I am wondering If I run my server directly off my computer can they some how hack my computer or anything??? BTW I am using portmap and I have a mac.

I highly doubt anyone can hack your computer if you run your server off of it.
I have the same tools as you do, and from my experience, nobody can access your computer.
If you're really afraid of someone knowing your ip address or anything like that, you can register a free public ip from http://noip.com/ Good luck!

If you only forward the port for Minecraft, you're most likely pretty safe. If you forward other ports or put your computer in what most routers call the "DMZ" you could be quite vulnerable.
