Bukkit and CraftBukkit - INFO

    Hey everyone,

    I've seen a lot of discussions on the forums lately about CraftBukkit and Bukkit and what they are.
    I understand that CraftBukkit is the server api, but what is Bukkit and who should use it ?
    Is it an administration system ? (i saw this somewhere)
    Would also appreciate info on how to use Bukkit (not CraftBukkit, i already figured that out)

    If i understand properly, Bukkit is an API and CraftBukkit is a server that uses that API.

    Bukkit is the API for plugin handling for minecraft SMP. any plugin you write, you write it against Bukkit.

    CraftBukkit, is the glue that interfaces bukkit with notch's server. the idea being if another server were written from scratch, or whatever, they could utilize bukkit and bukkit plugins w/o any compatability problems.
