Filled An in-Chest Menu

Suggested name: In-Chest Menu

What I want: I'd like a plugin that if you open a chest you open a menu with customizable items, and if you click an item it runs a command.

Ideas for commands: No commands needed for this plugin.

Ideas for permissions: None.

When I'd like it by: Next week or later.

 

I might be able to do this but i need more info. What do you mean by "open a chest" ? a defined chest or every chest in the game. If every chest in the game then where would people store stuff? What commands would you like it to be able to do? I personaly think a command would be better to open a gui. Please fill me in and i will start when i get this info.

The commands are /treasurechest open, and /buykey.

Ok so now i know this. you want a plugin where a player opens a chest and boom second chest is inside of that one. When you click on that chest it runs /treasurechest open. what does /treasurechest open do? Is that from a seperate plugin?

you do not need a link to the plugin, if he wants the command to be run, then you can simply execute the command, you could possibly hook to vault, quickly add in the permission to the player, execute the command, and remove the permission

 

@TheSander562 So you right click a specific chest, inside of it you have a chest item that will execute a certain command and a tripwirebook that will execute another command. If this is correct, tell me:

What kind of chest will it be? One chest or two? What name will it have?
What name and lore will those 2 items inside of it will have?
What do you want to do when one of them is clicked? I know it's a command but what will it do?

 

I'm already 80% done. I'm just having trouble linking it to the chest. Could I possibly open the gui with a command?

 

@JoaoBM it is one chest, and can you do it so I can edit a config for the names and lores? I don't get the last part.

3. I will make the gui opened by a linked chest but it will delay me some.

4. Are there permissions for treasure chest command?

@Ethan Rocks 365 You do know just because you're coding the plugin that doesn't mean I can't ask questions. And afterall I saved you some work by clarifying some things to you, since the plugin description wasn't clear enough.

@TheSander562 You said you wanted a command to be executed when we clicked the 2 different items. If we click the chest will another inventory pop-up? What about the tripwirebook? Will you receive? An ItemKey?

 

@JoaoBM I give you a run through of what we wants as i have a better understanding of what he wants. @TheSander562 correct me if im wrong on anything but you have a plugin, ultracosmetics, and you have a command from that plugin that you want to run via the gui. What you want is to put your cross-hair on a placed chest and send a command that will set THAT chest that your looking at to open a gui instead of a regular chest. inside this gui you want a tripwire hook and a chest, both with customizable names and lores, to run some commands when clicked. The chest will run the /treasurechest command. The trip wire hook will run /buykey. Also @TheSander562 if you would like i can soon add the ablity to add items into the gui but i need a bit more experience with configs. Let me know if you would like that. Untill then let me know when you want a new item added and i will add it for you.

we know the same information about the plugin. Also, imagine you're not able to create the plugin (not saying you are not), another Coder can show up and will not know how to do it since you asked more information via PM and not here. You should ask in the main post.

@JoaoBM I actually never did start a private discussion with him. I just have a friend who makes about the same amount of sense he does (no offence @TheSander562 ) and all that UltraCosmetics has to do with this is that it is the command he wishes to run. Also @TheSander562? Hello?

@Ethan Rocks 365 Well, apologies then for saying what I stated before. But don't you think it's a little subjective your friend and @TheSander562 share the same thoughts? Also his state is set as Offline.

If you click the chest, it does the same as mineplex treasurechests. So no.
And the tripwirehook gives you nothing, the plugin stores the keys in an file.

@Ethan Rocks 365 It's not needed, but if you can, great.

@JoaoBM It only runs the command from that plugin.

@TheSander562 Essential question. Would you rather have the plugin by tomarrow and it open via command or have it in probes 3 days to a week and it open with a chest? It all comes down to how soon you want/need it

@TheSander562 im about 80% done im just adding the code to set set the chest that opens the gui. then i got to test it Should have it by tomarrow or if my dad is nice maybe tonight

 

@TheSander562 are there any other features you want? The ablilty to change the command/item/slot item is in?
