I'd personally suggest you use SMF, vBulletin, myBB, or IPB, since those don't have overcomplicated table structures, and as such it is less likely that OKB3 will have bugs related to those forum scripts. phpBB is amazing, but it does require the passgen.php, so it's a bit harder to set up. I personally always have a test setup running of XenForo, phpBB and IPB. So, in short, if you think you can deal with the passgen.php setup, I'd suggest phpBB. If not, I'd suggest SMF or myBB.

EDIT: All of the forum scripts listed work equally well with OKB3 by the way.

Tiny update: The autoupdater is done, all I need to do now is make a php script for me to count downloads and such.

Hello I have two big problems.
Firstly, I hope you can read that I must translate with Google xD
Second, although I've already read the thread here and saw that I am not alone with this event PLAYER_TELEPORT, but I post my mistake.

I can no longer post to error log. The error spamming the server console is too extreme. More than 20 errors per second.

The plugin works usually so an hour before the strike at once.

I hope the problem will be solved quickly. I am very dependent on the plugin ^ ^

Your MySQL server is closing the connection after a while of it being inactive. You should see if you can change that somewhere in your MySQL setup. If you could post a server log from when your server starts up, that'd be nice.

 

okay is a good reason.
I've just changed.
But ... why has only one problem with BBB?
I use BigBrother, authdb, LWC, Webstats, KiwiAdmin.
They all work with MySQL.

I'll test again if your plugin again what happened. I hope not Thank you ever for the help.

I know you're saying except phpbb, I note that. But, why not? If you have the know-how, phpbb will suit you the best for free forum software. If you have a vBulletin license, I recommend that forum the most. Kalman was right, this plugin integrates with each forum equally well.

Excellent work on this plugin, I've recently implemented it into my server with great success.

Interestingly enough, I began getting this error after trying to update this plugin yesterday (2.0.9) and today (2.0.10):

Luckily, I had a backup of the OKB3.jar (2.0.8) which doesn't throw this error for me.

 

Try deleting & redownloading 2.1.0. I accidentally packaged the .zip update as a .jar

I don't know what YOU did, but my plugin certainly didn't cause THAT.
The only thing my plugin can WRITE to the forum database is banned ranks/unbanned ranks when you use /fban and /funban.
Check if you didn't delete and remake your MySQL user or something, you can usually change that in your forum's config file, the location of which can generally be found on google =/.

 

If you need this functionality because your database auto-closes the connection, then Warrant does this. Every time it checks a user, it checks the connection is still open and if not reopens it. Always has http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/ad...he-efficient-forum-bridging-plugin-953.18175/

 

Let's not forget that Warrant also comes packed with no features at all!

 

Let's not forget that OKB3 is bloated with unneeded crap and Warrant 2 is much less error prone and better written than it.

Err, generally "Permissions 3.x.x" stores it in flatfile. As for the forum, you need a MySQL database. If I didn't quite answer your question, feel free to ask again.

what i ment by my question was before i used 1 DB for my forums and 1 user with all access for my forums as well
should i create a new user and assign to forum database "for your plugin and if so waht permisions do i grant him on the DB" or use the same User the forum dues?

 

If the user has permissions to REMOTELY access the database(if the forum is hosted on another server) you can use the same user. If the user doesn't have remote connection permissions, you should create a new one that can connect from all hosts.

EDIT: The user only NEEDS "SELECT" permissions if you aren't using the linked banning feature. If you are using the linked banning feature, give him "UPDATE" too.
