[ADMN/WEB] [BukkitDev] Buycraft -The most advanced Donation Plugin.

Over 100,000 servers have used Buycraft over the last 2 years.
What is Buycraft, and why does my Minecraft server need it?
Buycraft enables you to sell in game items/memberships to your community, allowing yourself to fund your server bills to keep your Minecraft server alive. Buycraft is basically an online shopping cart system for your own server!
How will my players use Buycraft?
After you have created a Buycraft account, you are given an online webstore which you can use to promote your items for sale. Your players will visit this website and be able to purchase the items that they want, be it a collection of armour, or a monthly VIP membership.
What can I sell to my users, and how?
Buycraft enables you to sell ANYTHING to your users, from a collection of armour upgrades, to monthly VIP memberships. When a player purchases a product, it is automatically processed on your Minecraft server, and removes all hassle of managing payments by yourself. All these different options will take the worry out of funding your Minecraft server.
Some of the awesome features available:
    • Create donation packages which can reward your players with anything you imagine.
    • Setup advanced packages for memberships ranks, with support for automatic Paypal subscriptions.
    • Many Payment gateways supported! (Paypal, Stripe, Google Wallet, Paymentwall, 2Checkout, Onebip, Paygol, Payza, and Coinbase.)
    • Coupon codes to offer discounts to your players.
    • Run promotional sales to gain attention to certain donation packages.
    • Cumulative ranking to enable your players to upgrade their ranks.
    • Custom variables to offer advanced customisation of your packages.
    • Detailed donation statistics to see how well your server is performing.
    • Multiple webstores per account, with the ability to create sub accounts for your other moderators/administrators on your server.
    • Advanced fraud protection to prevent chargebacks.
    • Webstores available in over 8 languages.
    • You can change your webstore theme and even integrate it into your own website.
    • Everything is hosted by us, resulting in a hassle free and inexpensive way to run your own webstore! The Buycraft platform is updated regularly with many new features added each month.

I find a glitch? I log-in. Click another tab "Please login to access this crap." or something.

The commands - are those typed in the console, or in game? My permissions plugin doesnt allow me to promote/demote people from the console.

    Hey lmc,

Great plugin you have here! It makes managing donations to the server a breeze! I do have one question or a possible feature to add. I'll use the Ranks that my server currently has as examples in this suggestion/question. The Ranks I'll use are (to name a few) Grass, Wood, and Stone. You receive Grass Rank for donating $5, Wood Rank for donating $10, and Stone Rank for donating $15. Currently with your system if a player donates $5 for Grass Rank they will get it, but if they want to donate again for Stone Rank they have to donate an additional $10. That's a total of $15 dollars that they have donated to our server, which means that they should be Stone Rank and not just Wood Rank.

I was wondering if there is a way to keep a running total as to how much a player has donated to the server so that it will add up and remember how much they have given? That way if they donate $5 now for Grass Rank they only have to donate another $5 at a later time for Wood Rank.

That is how I would like to reward our players for donating, but currently they have to pay the full price even if they have already donated some to the server. A simple solution I can think of quickly off the top of my head is to use a MySQL database or something similar that will record the UserName and assign an integer to the name that represents the total amount donated. Then when they go to the Web Store they will enter in their UserName and it will tell them that to receive the next X Ranks above their current Rank they will need to donate X amount more.

I don't know if this is what you have in mind for this plugin, as it currently as I understand it, is for items or certain permissions that expire or do not build off of each other as in a running total of the players donations. My questions are: Will a feature such as this be added? Is there something that can already do this? If there is something that does this could you point me in the right direction to find it?

    Thanks for your time,

Its actually our end as well if we were to add this, sorry for the very late reply. But this might not happen since a lot of stuff is being fixed and implemented like Google Checkout.

I could make a simple one but it will cost a fair amount of money, but it may take some time and also making an agreement with lmc with copyright and the usage of the source. This will not be a for sure, but if the agreements are in place most of the money will go to Buycraft and some to the project.

They are executed via the console so you will have to install an additional plugin to manage your promoting.

Hello there, I have signed up for BuyCraft and installed the plugin sucessfully, but when I try and login to the control panel at buycraft.net, it keeps telling me 'You must log in to acess the control panel' . Can you help me? Please?
  8. Just to respond on this, I will not offer any support and agreements for anything like this, and I do not want conversations about it in this thread.
  9. I bought premium on your site 1 or 2 days ago and still haven't recieved it. Do you manually apply premium to my account or has something gone wrong? The payment is sent. I also opened a ticket on your website for this.

It should get added automatically, but you should open a ticket, which you did.
  11. Does it take long before a support ticket is answeared? Need ma premium to add alot of packages :p

I saw it today :p I assigned it to lmc though, because I can't give away premium codes/check payments.

The last version was built against #1818. I am not sure what number R3 is. I assume it doesn't matter though.

Hey, bro. Is this supported with hamachi? Because, when i am at the cabin, i want to test buycraft... I have portforwarded at home, but portforwarding is not possible here on the cabin. So i just ask, how can i make it work with hamachi? I havent Tried with hamachi open yet, but i just think that i need to do something to make it work. Thanks, jimbo8.
Okay, so i just took a look in my console. Then this message came:

21:52:14 [INFO] Error: Player not found.
21:52:14 [INFO] Couldn't retrieve your world. Default world 'pistonas' selected.

    21:52:14 [INFO] Player not found!
    21:52:14 [INFO] /manuadd <player> <group>

What can i do? Btw, Pistonas is my random name for my server world XD

This has nothing to do with Buycraft

Thank you for this awesome plugin, went premium to support.

Tried the forums search and it failed. Is there currently any way to implement a purchasable unban command? It currently says that the commands are only given when the player is online.

Would it break to implement an option for commands to be accessible with a check box for when the player is online or offline?

Anyways, great plugin all around, got me to create my third server just to see if it was possibly self sustaining.

    Hey jorisk322,
I was wondering if you or someone has an answer to this or if I should be posting this elsewhere?

i've tried everything to log in and it says "please log in to access the panel" or something.

Unban doesn't need a player online to work. /unban <playerName> removes that players name from the ban list. The player doesn't need to be online to be un-banned.

Did you use the correct login and password that you set up when you registered to the site? The log in screen is here and the register screen is here.

Thank you for the quick response,

I'm using a third party ban plugin, Hardcore2.0, and the command would be /hardcore res {name}. I'll check and see if /unban will do the same effect, but I'm not sure. I might alias /unban {name} to replicate /hardcore res {name}, but not sure if that will work.

Using 3.5 on bukkit R3, and packages do not claim. Players buy things like they did in 3.4.. But when they log in.. no one gets a package.. and everything just sits in the claimable package section.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix? Do I need to downgrade to 3.4? Whats going on.. I havnt seen anyone with a similar issue yet.. and its been out for at least a week now.. I can only assume my issue is unique?

EDIT - I figured it out.. The API secret was moved to buycraft.conf, instead of it being in the .yml in previous version.

This is simply not true. I have been using this plugin for about a month now with great success. I purchases premium on day one because it is extremely cheep for what you get.

The site works.. The payment system works. The premium store page works. It all works. If you use this plugin, and you purchase premium, and you still are not making any money.. Than you are doing something wrong.

Great plugin! Had it for about 1hr and I love it already!.

After about 5 minutes of using it, I purchased Premium. Defiantly worth more than the £3.50 for how much time it would save you having to manually check payments and give in-game commands.

    Things that could be changed are;

    • View Package Description - For Premium Users
This allows buyers to view whats in a package without having to constantly type their IGN into the box.
    • A back button in the packages section/Menu navigation.
So users can use the website to look at other packages rather than their web-browser.
    • PayPal Subscriptions - For reoccurring payments. Weekly/Monthly/Yearly.
I would even upgrade further than your Premium Account for this feature!

If you are using premium you can add a custom payment agreement.

In this you can state that all payments are accepted as Donations to help keep the server running and any items are given as a thank you gift back, with no obligation to provide support or replacements for loss of the items and no obligation to provide a refund for the loss of service if your sever is down/suspended.

You also need to state that by Donating they are still bound by your Rules/ToS/T&C and any breach of this would still result in a punishment/ban from you server.

I had one person donate $30.00 and at the end of the month they tried to claim it back. I told paypal it was a donation, sent a link of the ToS they had agreed to and also said that it was a single monthly donation which they had for the time specified.

Paypal sided with me and I kept the donation.

I dont really see any problems for legal issues, they might threaten but realistically their just trying to see what they can get away with. I have been threatened to be sued for removing someones donator status after the agreed 31days because they didn't donate again but it was just a kid having a temper-tantrum.

As I run my server as NP (non-profit) I dont seem to really have any problems. Pretty much all my donation are received as they want to keep my server running, not for the items!

I have the same as Tibbar too. sh8kezula, Do they have cookies on the site? Or do they login by a static ip?

What I found out from my research is, that me and Tibbar is giving a proxy ip to the buycraft.net server. While Sh8kezula is using a static ip to the buycraft.net server.

To fix this problem, download proXPN or Hide My Ip. They give you a static ip. This is a temporary solution until lmc finds a solution.

Can anyone provide a rough number of days it took for their purchase of premium to clear on their buycraft account? I see on my banks end the money has cleared, paypal says pending for that amount, and obviously the buycraft account still is standard. Not crying by any means, this service is awesome and thank the developers for all their work. I personally hate sitting down and cracking out lines of code so anyone else willing to do it is a hero in my book. I'm just trying to plan out development timelines for launching my server. Just being curious. Thanks guys!

(Discovered Jan 31, 2012 and purchased premium same day)

I got my premium in less than a minute when I bought it. Maybe it would be good to send a support ticket to lmc so he can take a look at your problem. :)

This has been suggested a few times, but is wouldn´t work with the current system very well, so this probably wil not be added.

amosngweien Are there capitals is your email-adress? I think that could be the problem.

Please open a ticket via the control panel and include your Paypal transaction ID and the email you used to buy premium with.

I think lmc is working on that/looking at that.
  28. Nah, the website dosent work, the 1,104 servers currently using the plugin also realise this.

Do you think that you can add DaoPay to the Buycraft list? :) That Would be AWESOME! Thanks. Jimbo8.

  30. Daopay was my first choice to add, but to my understanding, they require an activation time, and even a startup cost? I used to use it myself for another project, but they seem to have changed drastically since then.

You cant change the donate button, however if you look in the README.txt file inside of the buycraft directory, instructions are supplied there.

Oh, but you can write a warning, that says it gives you a startup cost.
