Regions now save in NBT format which is much more efficient than my old saving methods

cause its the only protection plugin i have and it got 167 regios that i do not have power to remodify

I'm not sure what the problem is but look at it like this.
I'm doing a complete recode so I'm doing a new update system which will check a url connection to prevent this error. Also I will be writing a patch to convert all old regions into the new format so please be patient; I am getting very close to finishing.

 

Good on you. Please promise me you will never abandon this plugin, everything i used to use gets abandoned ect. My old area protection plugin like cuboid. Theres a feature i REAALY want, if you add it i would be more than happy to donate
My Idea:
Make it so you can make a region where people are only allowed to place certain blocks (Like if its a wooden village, to stop people making diamond houses, ect...), Also make it so theres another option to allow blocks but block ceratin ones Like a block blacklist and whitelist for areas

OMG! This re-coding destroyed my server.
Over the night, the cities were all gone because the plugin stopped working -.-

 

Yes, Regios will require spout to run however individual players can play with the normal client however they won't experience any of the spout addons regios boasts.

Not a troll at all. Today, I loged on with ALOT of regios errors in my console, and all the cities griefed.
I contacted my host if they had any clue. They said the plugin wouldn't work because you guys did a re-code on it.
I dont understand why the old -jar wouldnt work.

Yes, you don't really need to worry because Spout is pretty lightweight; it just provides an interface between the spout client and the mine-craft server along with some performance improvements.

Well I don't know who your server host is but they're giving you false information. I am doing a recode but I have not released it to the public yet so my guess is that your host has messed something up and are trying to pin it on me.

As for spout, is it a plugin, or a client-side mod?

 

No, your mod quit working even if people didn't update, my server did the same thing (I was still on 3.5). All regios functions (protection, no mob spawning, etc) all shut down sometime yesterday. If you download the one listed on the website it generates an error as well. If his only protection was regios then yes, he could quite possibly have gotten screwed.

I could pass on the error but I've switched back to worldguard and reset my regions already.

 

It's a plugin which runs on the minecraft server and people who use the spoutcraft launcher have access to plugins which have spout features.

Well I don't know what you did wrong or what caused a crash but I'm recoding so you can either wait for that or switch to another plugin; your choice.

The next version will no have auto-updating, if you want that feature use craftbukkit up to date or just check this thread.

 

I know adam thank you. But theres a problem, because it crashes everytime it trys updating. And my city is getting greifed, I would really appreciate knowing how to turn updating off, please adam please, my server needs you

 

I know this but is there any chance of you putting your server on lock down for the moment because I am working hard to get the recode finished. I only have to do the old format patch to convert formats from old regions to new ones, then I need to do the spout gui for editing regions also, and then testing. I can send you the development build now as a temporary measure but be aware that there may be bugs.
