[ADMN] PlgSetspawn v5.0 - /setspawn and /spawn for OPs [1.4]

PlgSetspawn - Plugin for /setspawn and /spawn only:
Version: v5.0

This plugin just gives /setspawn to OPs and /spawn to all, nothing more nothing less.
It uses bukkit internal permission system.
As in all my plugins, you can now edit the name of commands in plugin.yml.

Permissions:

• plgsetspawn.spawn for /spawn command (default all)
• plgsetspawn.setspawn for /setspawn command (default op)

No you have not. And since the .jar contains the source, you can even see that for yourself. I just tested it (downloaded the .jar and in the source the OP-only part is commented out)

But if you just messed your post up and meant /setspawn all the time, then yes, that's only for OPs and I see no reason for it not be like that.

Is this working with the latest 1.7? I'm a relatively fresh minecraft server admin, and this is my first update thats come out since I started administrating a server with plugins.

 

It should since I use a fairly stable API, but I am not supporting unstable builds, so better to use the recommended 1.6 one at this time.

I just checked the download links to be sure - but the download link for the normal non-op one does NOT work for non-ops. I think you may have uploaded the wrong version

 

/setspawn never works for non-ops, the OP version is to restrict the /spawn command

 

I'm only talking about the /spawn command. I would download your normal file and check that, as for me it's not working like I said. I'm pretty sure I have the op only version when i followed the normal download link. Just asking you to check your links

 

well I just download the PlgSetspawn.jar, had to start my test server up, deop myself, and test it. But everything works as it should. So you are doing something wrong.

 

I'm an idiot - I ran my 1.7 update today and I was changing from SPawnX over to your plugin. I just relaized I missed uninstalling spawnX however...

 

I've transferred spawn somewhere else, to the platform that is above water... set new spawn there and now New people that come to the server for the first time they spawn in wrong place, way bellow the platform and fall into the water. Why is that?

PS: After someone get killed they spawn in proper place, also using /spawn command will teleport you to the proper spawn place...

PS2: I've checked two time on two new users... one time i was spawned in different location than original (a little bit to north of my original spawn location) The second time I've spawned where all new people spawn... that' is like 10 meters north, and fall into the water D:

PS3: Tried again, new player was spawned again in different location around new spawn area... if something is under feet then it will not fall into the water... D: Please fix this...

 

Nothing to fix, that's how spawn works, it randomizes the spawn location after you die (or log in for the first time).

 

After player die i noticed location is always the same... it only randomize it after new player login in and it destroys my spawn area which is rather small... Is there any way so that new players will spawn at one point?

Also I saw on most servers that new players always spawn at one point in spawn... so how to do it?

 

So you must have a plugin that makes it behave this way IMO.

both versions dont work for me is this 1.7.2

 

I tested it on 953 craftbukkit and it works. 99% you have some other plugin that conflicts with it, to date it always ended this way when somebody complained that my plugin was not working.

 

when i took out all my plugins and tried maybe im doing it wrong?

i just put the jar in to plugins folder and restarted my server... btw im using mac

What the? This looks like you don't even have this plugin installed since the OP version does not print anything when /spawn is used and you are not OP.
So how did you install it? does server console say that "PlgSetspawn is enabled"?

Does this make a "safe zone" around the spawn? Users say they can't remove blocks in that area but I can as an OP. Can I disable this?

 

That's how Minecraft works by default, edit bukkit.yml, there is a spawn-protection value
