    Mobile Admin for Minecraft allows you to administer common server properties, users, plugins and even chat right from your Android phone! Mobile Admin consists of two parts: a plugin (server) and an Android application (client). The server requires a username and password to connect which are specified in MobileAdmin.properties (stored in plugins folder).

    Current Versions:

    Free vs Paid:
    In the spirit of Bukkit and its licensing, the free version of the client supports (and will continue to support) native Bukkit commands and API calls. The client and plugin are provided completely free without advertising support. I will continue to add features where I see a place and purpose for them and as Bukkit adds more features.

    The paid version of the client adds real-time server chat functionality and third party plugin support (which IMHO is outside the scope of free Bukkit support and helps me maintain this project, servers, time spent, etc...)

    Yes, and that's how I intend to implement in v4.
    That way the app doesn't always have to poll for new lines, just read them.
    This is easier for me to implement in v4 as I'm not longer holding sockets open for future commands.
    Version 4 works more like a REST web service with encrypted parameters/payloads.
    So when the request is done, socket is done.
    However when the chat screen is opened, a socket stream will be opened to read/write chat data and closed when the user leaves the screen.

    Do you know what JSONAPI does for security?
    My current plugin uses AES encryption with a public/private key handshake.
    Version 4 steps this up with RSA encryption.
    Both the server and the client generate their own public/private KeyPair and handshake them during session initialization.
    I feel this the most secure approach as the private keys are generated and stored locally on each side.
    Since their not embedded into the jar/apk nor are they distributed over the wire (like in v3 which with a little ingenuity, someone could figure out and intercept), it's near impossible for an attacker to figure out unless they have access to your phone/server.

    In the file your using to pull the data, you configure a username and password which is encrypted in SHA256 Byte Hash which is used to validate the communication of data.

    But is the data itself encrypted?
    Is the hash transmitted over the wire?
    Sounds like if I sniffed the packets I could get this hash and/or pass the same hash along and control the server.
    I've put quite a bit of thought and time into the encryption layer of Mobile Admin, I'm just curious how others are doing it.

    Every object transferred is encrypted with SHA256 + an obfuscated SALT Hash. Its impossible to crack basically.

    Good to know.
    If it's a static salt in the jar, it's easy to find and is half the battle.
    If it's not, then it's transferred and hopefully at least encrypted with the hash.
    Anyway, like I said, just curious. :)

    I put the ports like you said, got the user and pass correct, the ip of the server is correct. I still cant connect though from my phone, and the plugin is running correctly on the server.

    Cynder98 I had the same problem, and I just forgot to open my Windows' firewall... So, forward your internet port, your windows port and everything might work well.

    Could you possibly add a way to view a user's inventory? Also maybe a tablet UI for Ice Cream Sandwich? I use this all the time on my Asus Transformer Prime and it's helped so much since I took my server public.

    Wow, this looks amazing. Just by looking at the screenshots, the interface looks epic! If you could develop this further and add compatibility for OSX I would purchase this without any doubt in my mind. Keep up the great work.

    Plugin version 3.2.4 has been officially released and tested on both 1.1-R6 and 1.2.3-R0.1.
    The file is awaiting approval on BukkitDev but can be downloaded here in the meantime.

    Hey now. Hush.
    If you had your account stolen, it wasn't from this app as I've used it for months without issues. Mike works hard to provide a solution for the server admin that wants to manage their server remotely, and barely asks for anything in return. He doesn't need your Minecraft username or password, and at the most, if MMA was malicious, which it is not, all it would be able to get is a player's username, it would not be able to get a player's password.

    Explain to me how he "taked your account" this plugin and app has nothing to do with account info, the only info it looks for is the one you make in the users.config file. I use this program everyday and none of my servers have been compromised or anyone of my players accounts.
