This plugin allows anyone to ask for help. Using the /helpme command, a admin/Op or any group with the permission helpmeadvanced.admin will get a message about what world the person is in, and their gps location.

This plugin is my own version of the very awesome HelpMe plugin. The HelpMe plugin is awesome and I fully recommend it, the only main difference between the plugins is the permissions support and messaging support.

Set Up:
By default on first run, a messages.txt file is created. This file contains only three lines, the same default three from previous versions. Add as many lines as you would like, each line will be sent to the person who issues the /helpme command.

/helpme - Asks and admin or anyone with the permission 'helpmeadvanced.admin' for help.

/helpme description "Description Here" (without quotes) - Adds a description onto your plea for help!

'helpmeadvanced.admin' - Whoever has this permission will be alerted that someone needs help!

I like the idea, but is it possible to prevent spamming like a cooldown time? Or perhaps a limit within a set time , lest say 5 a MC Day?

 

If possible could you put some kinda coment box or something that a player can give a brief description on what they need help with like /helpme (been griefed) or whatever. My gf and I are making a server but it will take us awhile to get it live so we have been testing plugins and this one I think we will stay with. Once you get the things done on the todoo list this will almost be perfect. I'll through out some things you could possibly add if I think about it. If it wasn't for people like you making these epic servers wouldn't be possible.

Version 0.2 released yesterday!

 

@kmccmk9 I second that. Just add a string builder that gets the arguments and appends a space (if you don't know how to do that I can help you). It would be way better for our server if we knew what the help was for.

 

I agree that is one if the first things I want to add. I will begin working on that immediately.

 

Ok I just updated plugin to Version 0.3. This version allows for the use of Ops.

Sorry I'm in the middle of a move so I can't test it. There isn't a reason it shouldn't. I just haven't tested it yet.

 

The plugin has been released to version 0.4. The plugin is now compatible with craftbukkit #1000 and allows for built in permissions system.

 

Plugin has been updated to work with latest CB and I will be updating it shortly.

 

Well unfortunately, for some reason...my file is damaged beyone repair. Even after restoring to the working version I get internal errors. I have no idea what is going wrong, I'm tired and super annoyed so it will have to wait until tomorrow. I'm sorry.

Very busy. Very close to release but I was hit by the hurricane so all plugins are on slight delay. I'm also preparing for school.

 

Just updated the plugin. Has a new feature! Check it out!

Ok I am using the latest dev builds of Craftbukkit and when someone uses the command /helpme its shows errors(replys an error occured while attempting to ..)

 

Try on the latest stable build for best compatibility. However, I will look into this issue. If you could post your server log, that would also help.
