    God Powers

    Gives god-like abilities to players.

    Current commandless features:
    • God tools - Golden tools break respective blocks instantly! I.e. Golden pick breaks stone and ores instantly, but not dirt. (Requires either being an op, or the permissions node)
    • /godmode - Makes you invincible.
    • /godmode [player] - Makes the specified player invincible.
      • Temporary fix for conflict with Essentials' "/godmode" command:
      • /godmodeon or /godmodeon [player] - Turns on godmode if possible.
      • /godmodeoff or /godmodeoff [player] - Turns off godmode if possible.
    • /heal - Heals you.
    • /heal [player] - Heals the specified player.
    • /maim [player] - Beats the specified player within an inch of their life.
    • /slay [player] - Kills the specified player by no special means. They just drop dead.
      • /smite [player] - Works the exact same as /slay, used as a workaround for conflict with worldguard.
      • /slay [player] arrows or /slay [player] a - Kills the specified player by shooting them with flaming arrows!
      • /slay [player] fire or /slay [player] f -Light the player on fire until they die.
      • /slay [player] drop or /slay [player] d -Drop the player from an immense altitude where they will plummet to their death!
      • /slay [player] lightning or /slay [player] l - Strike lighting down on the heads of those mortals!
      • /slay [player] void or /slay [player] v -Drop the player into the void!
      • /slay [player] curse or /slay [player] c - Cast a deadly curse upon the player's head!
    • /die - Kills you.
    • /jesus - Allows you to walk on water like Jesus. Also allows walking on lava. Not so Jesus-like, but it looks cool.
    • /inferno - Use your godly rage to burn the ground behind you! (!!!Warning, this will place fire ANYWHERE you walk, so be careful of flammable materials!!!)
    • /superjump - If there's nothing in your way, you will jump to obscene heights!
    • /zeus - With this activated, lightning will strike where you're looking when you swing your arm!
    • /gaia - Turns dirt to grass beneath your feet and plants tall grass and flowers around you as you walk.
    • /vulcan - Fling fireballs at those pesky mortals!
    • /demigod - Decreases damage taken by a configurable amount. Reduced to 20% by default.
    • /FusRoDAH - Enchants knockback lvl 10 onto the held item.
    • /plutus - Enchants fortune level 25 onto tools only.

Looks like this was a General issue guys. 2.2.1 fixes this.

So far, it seems like we've been doing a good job of at least making sure the namespaces are different for different forkers. The namespace that includes cjcfork is either me, or someone who's forked my fork without changing the namespace (I'm not aware of anyone who's done so yet). It should be possible at some point to consolidate to a single fork of General, but I believe that there are some features that bukkit needs before that is fully possible.

So general is fixed now, or do I need to contact the other authors?
  4. Offline

    >: D You, sir, are amazing. Soon as I get some spare money, some's going to you :D
  5. Offline

The code that caused the issue was specific to my fork. It was involved in finding which commands General could use.
  6. Offline

Thank you sir! That will be much appreciated! You will actually be the first XD

Oh alright, good that it's solved then. Though the one by Chernobyl I may need to contact the author on.

Oh yea, one thing that I was wondering about would be if this would have multiworld support. By multiworld support, I mean that I'd like to give the admins the ability to be gods on our main build world, but NOT on the pvp world. Something like a simple list in the config file of worlds to allow the commands in would be great :D

I may do that soon. I absolutely will when bukkit adds permissions.

can u make a .zip or .jar version?

    Very Bad A.I.

Hey Taco, I found a fix!!! You had the folders in the GodPowers.jar in the wrong location for Craftbukkit.

    Change godPowers.jar\com\FriedTaco\taco\godPowers\

    to godPowers.jar\com\bukkit\FriedTaco\taco\godPowers\

    This worked for me.

P.S. I Used 7-Zip for extracting and adding.

Hi, I have to use CB 440 for compatibility reasons, after numerous problems with CB 522/497/493. Could you post your older versions please?
  12. Offline

I'm pretty sure com.bukkit is reserved for plugins by the bukkit team only, the current packaging should work fine.

@The PC Tech Guy I actually don't have the older versions, though I can recompile with 440 (As long as it's after the command system change) for you.

I'd appreciate i if you can, as the new console has broke the SimpleServer wrapper (in fact, ALL server wrappers have been killed). Until Bukkit makes a alternate build for SimpleServer, or I find a plugin that functions similar to SimpleServer.

I'm really busy today, I'd recommend using a build similar to 491 if not 491 until I can look into what's going on with the new build. I really hate it when they come out with a new build and I have to redo everything.

I know I should check it out, but instead I'll ask you.

Can you customize which commands do what? For example, changing /tp to /to. Do you get one locked chest? Is there a way to access the console directly? (/rcon). I'd like to migrate, but I don't want a few more plugns to have the same functionality of SimpleServer. I don't know why Bukkit would break support for server wrappers.
Nevermind my request for a recompile, just found a solution for SimpleServer:

This plugin looks so awesome, but I have the CB 440 for compatibility reasons, so can you please recompile with the CB 440? :)
  19. Offline

I just downloaded it and I cant get /jesus to work but everything else works fine. There is no error message.
  20. Offline

I'll recompile when I get home today.

@Golux *sigh* I need at least your craftbukkit version to see what the problem is. Also, please describe how it doesn't work. I.e. Does it do nothing at all when you try to walk over water? Or does is the platform simply very buggy?
Nevermind, I fixed the bug with /jesus. Slight goof up on my part.

Also, regarding the cb 440 build: Can anyone tell me what version of Bukkit (Not CraftBukkit) was used at that time so I can get the correct file?

Hi, I am getting This Error:
Can anyone help me please? =)
  22. Offline

Try redownloading? It looks like you're missing a file in the .jar
  23. Offline

I've downloaded It twice now and restarted the server, but it won't work :(

EDIT: Where I have to playe the properities file?
  24. Offline

The properties file should be in the same folder as craftbukkit. I'll look into that when I get time.
  25. Offline

    Thanks. /jesus works now.

Wow I some how deleted my other post, I tried helping maino with the properities file. It seemed like he couldn't get the plugin to create the properties file for him and I gave a method of creating himself. But I had a regret feeling that I gave wrong information and miss understanding his problem so I tried deleting it and my other post got deleted to. I'll try to recreate the post I wanted to keep.

Its ok I much rather have super jump over speed walk anyways.

Another idea that I have is a like a push command. Its hard for me to explain the idea I have in my head but ill try. Have a command that can cause the push force similar to tnt. Like a cannon where the tnt falls in the stream of water and only the force of the tnt can be felt which is how it launches the other tnt. So if lets say there is an annoying player(s) around you can do the command to send them flying away from you and get hurt or killed by the force. You could also adjust the force, 1 would be the force of 1 tnt, 2 the force of 2 tnts, and so on and so on. I got the idea from memories of DBZ when they would do their power up thing and it would create a force pushing everything away.

If you can't do it, its ok, I just want to help put out ideas for one of my favorite plugins.
Just downloaded the recent update, installed, and started server. I got this message

No clue what it means except that the plugin won't work. I'll see if it was something I did wrong but if it still won't work then I will just go back to using the previous version till you fix everything.

EDIT: It works with the newest build #533. Now I just hope my other plugins will work with this build.

How do I check which version of Bukkit I have?
  28. Offline

Open your craftbukkit.jar file with winrar or any other related programs and then go to META-INF and you should find a file called MANIFEST.MF open that with notepad, then look for the line Implementation-Version. The build # should be in that line. Here is an example: Implementation-Version: git-Bukkit-0.0.0-516-gdf87bb3-b531jnks
I am using build 531 so as you can see 531 is the last number. Should be similar for you.
  29. Offline

Can someone explain how I edit the permissions so I can use this?
  30. Offline

I got the updated plugin to work but sadly there is bugs. First the arrow command doesn't really do much, a few arrows shoot down but no real damage. Second, the fire command works perfectly but not much use when on peaceful, not a big deal. Third, drop works perfectly but its way high, takes like a whole min till you hit the ground. Maybe lowering it some, like several blocks above the clouds would be ok. Also, inferno works perfectly, works just how I thought it would be, the trail isn't to long nor to short. However, super jump is really buggy, when you jump your forced to face west which makes it hard to take advantage of the super jump. I know there is a single player mod where you look at where you want to be and type jump to get there, but I would rather love to actually be able to jump that high. And finaly the worse news. I got these messages on the console when trying to heal and maim someone.

After you have installed the plugin it should create a godPowers.PROPERTIES file in the same folder that you have craftbukkit, open it with notepad and put your name after every = you see, except for the second one which gives you a title when you have godmode enabled. I leave it blank to give me the appears that I am as normal as everyone else.

I did all of that and when I try to use the command it says "the gods prevent you from using this power" or something like that
