Plugin Request A Plugin To Buff Golden Items

Plugin category: Mechanics

Suggested name: BetterGold

What I want: A plugin that buffs vanilla gold items. I mainly just want gold swords to do one more damage than diamond (8 damage).

It would also be awesome to buff gold armor's damage protection to be stronger than diamond (if it's possible). These options would ideally be configurable.

Ideas for commands: No commands needed for this plugin.

 

This can be done by either using /enchant with essentials or tim the enchanter to get the enchantments to make the sword strong enough.

 

I want this to be default to minecraft, like when players craft the swords.

 

I am Currently Working on this so Ima write my notes here.
- Gold armour currently has give 44% Protection While Diamond Gives 80% and Iron Gives 60%
Would you Like Gold Armour to be equal to Diamond in protection or superior.
- % Protection goes up by 4%, 4% is equal to one half armour suit above health.

Just saw the "Configurable" Stuff in the Request, I'll just add the config in.

I tried out the gold sword damage first, and I'm getting this error when trying to hit things with everything (including your fist).

It seems to be working now. Could I ask for the diamond armor protection decimal values for the config?

Diamond Helmet = 0.12
Diamond Chestplate = 0.32
Diamond Leggings = 0.24
Diamond Boots = 0.12

It appears the protection is not working. The armor is just acting like regular gold armor with the values you gave me. There are no errors either.

 

Weird I will check it out.

 

This is more urgent to me. I never tested PvP with golden swords, so sure enough they deal the default damage and an error appears.

 

Unfortunately, I'm running out of time so the plugin I made only buffs golden sword. I'll update it soon.

I appreciate you making another since 87pen has been gone for some time now. Unfortunately, the plugin doesn't seem to install at all or recognize it.

 

Sorry for going missing, I am studying for finals :/ So I can't really fix it right now try running it on 1.7.10 instead of 1.8 The plugin I made is for version 1.7.10 Try it if not I'll fix it later.
