Let them know that BukkitContrib, (soon to be renamed "Spout") uses a purely optional client mod. It only forces players to use it, if you decide to turn that on in the config. Otherwise, they just miss out on the aesthetic changes and custom gui's.

I don't want players to miss out on stuff. I wanted to add custom blocks to the game as well like a glass block that's unbreakable and looks like air so I can create solid world boarders easily.

At the moment, creating custom blocks/items/mobs isn't possible yet - just a plan.

Right now they will be missing out on custom audio, custom graphics, skins, capes, and custom interface designs.

For the moment, I would simply encourage, but not require adoption.

In time, after several weeks, the number of players who enjoy using the mod will increase. We're planning a simple way to install - basically 1 click, and it will keep the files separate from regular mc, so players can still enjoy their custom SP mods, then switch to using the multiplayer mods w/o any hassle.

I do hope for new blocks and items though. I want to make admin specific items that players can't get like a golden stick and stuff like that. So I can specify those tools in things like world edit. I also want to add resources like uranium and other crystals (ruby/sapphire) to the game. I have so many different plans for customizing the game when it's possible.
