Too expensive, you have to pay list price x2 for the first month (setup!), then the price monthly, and they're all old servers... The only thing that looks nice are those 6 core i7s.

Yeah, well not everyone gets deals with Canadian hosts like you do! I pay over double for what you are about to get ;/

    I impulse buyed though:
    Core i7 980
    24 GB DDR3
    2x 120 GB SSD
    Hardware RAID card

For cheaper than I currently pay at Yesup. Setup happened to be really cheap too, I think it was like $70 setup.

    Worth a try.

Played around with it yet? Not much storage on that setup.

Nah, they haven't set it up yet. Turns out their timezone is pretty much opposite of mine.

Also I entered in the wrong international phone number, so if they call to verify, then I'm screwed.

Yeahhhhh.. About that, I think they do ask for verification.

Drop them an email if you don't get a response/it setup within 24 hours and tell them you put the wrong phone number.

    nteresting fact........

It seems that Minecraft now handles block breaking and placement clientside, which no results in zero block breaking and placing delay. Previously, there used to be a delay based on the server latency, but now that is irrelevant.

    Nice job Jeb!

Erm, I think that opens up a LOT of exploits. I haven't checked on HF, but I'd bet the devs are finding shitloads of exploits.

Also, I ordered the server :D

Nice! They usually set it up pretty fast, maybe it will be ready by today.

Also I am not expert, but the blocks breaking and placing actions would also have to be sent to the server. So my guess is that nocheat should be able to do something to prevent exploits.

I don't know how long it'll take, but who knows.

Yeah, but with it being done client-side, it'll become easier to hack in vanilla. Instant block breaking should now become possible.
