Cannot kick or ban people from the server, + Flying Disable bug

Recently, I have noticed this issue. I have been using Essentials + Group Manager for quite some time now for permissions and commands, and I haven't really changed any settings since at least around Build 1337.

However, now I find that whenever I try to /kick or /ban somebody, it will say the message on the server, but the person will not actually be kicked. Their name appears in the banned players file, but they are still able to log on. It seems to be happening since the latest update, but I am not too sure about that.

I tried updating Essentials and Group Manager, but this didn't fix the issue. I am going to try to do a complete reinstall of the server and all the plugins to see if that works.

I searched this issue before posting this, but I cannot find anyone who had the same issue.

Also, a few friends found that a certain game mod allowed them to fly on the server. I disabled flying in the server properties, but they are still able to fly. Is this a bug or just a very clever program that they are using?

 

give ur self permissions

- essentials.kick
- essentials.ban

 

NVM, I found it was Izone that was doing it (I was using the pre-7.0 version which still had the zfill command. Oh well )

Wait, i dont have izone and i get this issue. I ban them and they just log back in.

 

ban them by IP maybe

 

i tried but they could still get on. it says the ban hammer has spoken so is that a part of essentials?

 

yea so like wtf check if in bukkit folder in banned IPs and banned players is anything there

 

ya both in server properties there is a banned name and a banned ip

try to download new bukkit server and ban someone and see if it works
