   What kind of information are you looking for? If you're wondering about how to get and set experience within each exp orb, take a look at ExperienceOrb in http://jd.bukkit.org/apidocs/
   
   For player experience, look at Player.getExp() and Player.setExp().

   I'm looking for general, non programming specific code. I want to know what an orb is, how xp works, etc. I tried to get two plugins' sources but I couldn't.

   For just general information, I would check out the minecraft wiki. The pages there seem to have pretty good information on how experience works and the mechanics of it:
