Hi, I know there is a plugin that hides nameplates, but it is outdated and doesn't really work anymore (http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/mi...plugin-to-hide-your-name-302-1337.4869/page-1) (HeroSneak) Would anybody be willing to pick this up? Or make a new one? (With the same things that HeroSneak can do?) Thanks!
chisox8 Eeeehm, i'm not sure on how. But can i do a test on youre server with you? So i can SEE the effect :3 chisox8 What do you excactly want? Everything that HeroSneak has or? EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
Yep, pretty much everything that HeroSneak has. (I want it so everybody automatically autosneaks, but moves at the same speed as walking)
chisox8 Well HeroSneak also has permissions support and that you can switch modes etc. Ive got a version done that everybody will sneak already now...
Thats strange? What did you put in the config file to get that to work? (do you mean, everybody sneaks automatically? because tahts what I need) Also, its very glitchy, eg. Peoples nameplates flashing on and off, etc.
chisox8 Eeehm, i developed one. I didnt change anything of theirs. But i'm not sure if it 100% works. Here you go: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37424916/Plugins/SneakMode.jar I hope it works :3
Lol thanks. i'll test it! SO what exactly does it do? (it didn't generate a config file or do anything...) EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
chisox8 I'm not sure if it actually works lol. Join the server, and give me the IP so i can see the result please. It should say: Welcome, you are now in sneakmode.
It didn't say anything, the server IP is 216.230.229.8:2148 Got this Code: [SEVERE] Could not load 'plugins/SneakMode.jar' in folder 'plugins': java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: muisya/sneakmode/SneakMode : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClassCond(ClassLoader.java:631) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:615) at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:141) at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:283) at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$000(URLClassLoader.java:58) at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:197) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:190) at org.bukkit.plugin.java.PluginClassLoader.findClass(PluginClassLoader.java:41) at org.bukkit.plugin.java.PluginClassLoader.findClass(PluginClassLoader.java:29) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:306) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:247) at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:247) at org.bukkit.plugin.java.JavaPluginLoader.loadPlugin(JavaPluginLoader.java:131) at org.bukkit.plugin.SimplePluginManager.loadPlugin(SimplePluginManager.java:285) at org.bukkit.plugin.SimplePluginManager.loadPlugins(SimplePluginManager.java:200) at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.CraftServer.loadPlugins(CraftServer.java:156) at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.CraftServer.<init>(CraftServer.java:132) at net.minecraft.server.ServerConfigurationManager.<init>(ServerConfigurationManager.java:52) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.init(MinecraftServer.java:148) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:407) at net.minecraft.server.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:465) EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
Ok, so I tested it and here is what I came up with (I tested w/ Java 7 on my test server): It works when you log in, nobody can see your nameplate, but then if i log in another character, you can't see their nameplate, but they can see yours. Then If i relog my first character, the first character is hidden, but can see the second character's nameplate. And that kinda defeats the purpose of the plugin. Ya, java is a strange language (every time there is a new version, something always changes...) EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
Would it be possible to create colored nameplates? Such as if my name was just plain white MeesterWaffles, could I change my nameplate to something like MeesterWaffles on my nameplate?
MeesterWaffles Beste Meester Waffles. Yes this is possible, but it will require a client mod. For instance if everyone on youre server is using SpoutCraft, its possible.
But would it require spout? NPC's with Citizens can have colored nameplates, why not actual players? I'm sure its possible without a client mod.
MeesterWaffles That's because aPunch is an alien in coding. No i dont know if it's possible, can we test it on youre server? I got a quick idea on how to do it.
Ign? White-listing is enabled at the moment, we're currently still developing it. The ip is: 66.85.166.18:25602
MeesterWaffles Its also MuisYa, let me make the plugin. Done. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37424916/Plugins/DisplayName.jar Put that in please, and are you using Java7?
Huge props to MuisYa Helped out a ton on the plugin! Unfortunately it wont work Highly recommend the guy for coding plugins! EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
You don't convert from Java 7 to Java 6, in a matter of speaking. You build your code/project using one of the two. I didn't read the entire thread, but I am assuming you are using Eclipse?
It wasn't me that made the plugin, i'm just wondering if there is a way so I can tell the PLDev what to do!
