I am using a dorm internet connection where I cannot portforward on my mac. Is there a ANY way I can have my server live to the public without using Hamachi? What would you recommend doing? Thanks
Do you have a spare computer? What I used to do while I was in the dorms was leave a spare computer at my parents house running a server, and just remote access it. Only down side is trying to have your sister troubleshoot any issues that can't be solved by remote access. There is, of course, always the solution to find a cheap dedicated server providor. Also, email your dorm/universities tech department and see if they can forward it for you. It never hurts to ask. Maybe there's an unused port that is currently forwarded on the campus network? Sorry, I know it doesn't answer your question, but that's brainstorming for you.
I do not have a spare computer that can withstand a 20+ person server. And how would you remote access it? Just curious. Yeah, that helps. Thanks. (If anyone else has an idea please let me know)
