Custom MMO server needs your HELP!

    Hello everyone! Sorry for all the text but I think its really worth a read! I'm also looking for a certian plugin or help building a list of plugins for my custom server. So far it's just been me by my self working on it, but I'd like to recruit the help of anyone willing to give it a shot! The specifics I'm looking for on the server would contain the main elements of a MMO server, Including but certianly not limited to: ingame mail, classes, skills, player chat (with different rooms according to proximity), banking system and currency system that will award currency for missions and can be spend to upgrade the individuals class/skills(with possible tangable/makeable money), advanced classes branching off from a main class everyone starts aa(so everyone is a Page then they choose swordsman, bowman, or brawler, then a new sub set it unlocked: for swordsman you can advance further to another set of classes.) , groups, duengons, custom housing with anti-greifing, lockable chests, player made shops that are intergrated with the currency system, and maybe a few other things that i cant quite think of off the top of my head.

    So far my server is running: Craftbook (allows custom items, I've yet to figure out how exactly it works, I dont think I can use the crafted items to crete more custom items using them as ingredients.) Heroes ( Adds skills, classes, exp system, damage system, custom classes. I've messed around with this one quite a bit, cant figure out how to branch the default class off to different class sets that then would break off to advanced classes, also cannot spend money to upgrade skills this is needed.) Permissionsbukkit (Allows the creation of security groups and easier to edit.) Worldedit 5.0 (Self explanitory) Izone ( allows zoning in game to a degree, I think it can assign people so specific zones IE kicking people out who arnt wanted unless added to a list, could use some explination.) Lockette( Locks chests and adds anti greif to them.) Starter kit 1.1 (Allows me to give new players starting items.

    What my server needs: I feel that with the current mods its got the basics of becoming a MMO, I just need to sit down and create the custom classes and skills and collet all the commands for the mods. So far I've created a word doccument that can be sent out to all the potential admins and OP's about what server mods have been installed and what needs to still be implimented. But what its really lacking right now would be: Custom Mobs with custom drops(Useable with custom items//drops), In game mail (Preferably with rendered mail, could work like the maps) an in game currency handeling system (Preferably with tangeble/dropable item money, so it could be easier to make the mobs drop it, and trade it between players, also needs to be able to purchase//upgrade class specifics.) Anti greif measures, NPC quest system (With possible user created/custom quests.) Coders, Game masters, OP's, Admins, and of course PLAYERS! (among other things as they come along)

    Where you come in: As you can tell this server still has alot of work until it will be completly live and ready for use, and since were currently in development still were on a hamachi VPN network and would like to remain that way until we get most of the bugs//fixes implimented and get most of the core MMOness of the server implimented, once this happend well go to a whitelist until i guess you could call it a "Beta phase" then removing the whitelist allowing anyone to connect for extensive stress testing. Eventually depending how everything goes it could go back to a whitelist, it all depends on how many people we get really interested in this idea. Friends of friends will be allowed into the hamachi provided they are adding something to the overall progress of the server even if it is just taking up more ram to ensure my server will handel it =). Right now I could use help with Testers(class and skill testers), Coders(Class and custom skill creation, NPC's and NPC shops), maybe some writers to add lore to the world, World Designers(with world edit experence) a few trust-worthy admins/op's.     I also forgot to mention that most of the coders//big contributors will be compensated depending on their duties. This is my project and I'd like to see it succeed! Even if that means money out of my pocket!

    First thanks for the reply! I do like this mod and I had a couple questions. Instead of just being pathing NPC's can they also be "MOB" type that drop items for people to collect? I like the idea of adding factions but more of a mercenary roll would be more ideal for my server. If you want you can PM me if that makes it easier. If you have any suggestions or need help with coding or anything I'm willing to learn (I have quite a bit of Computer experience about 10+ years so far.)

    What I'd ultimately like to do would be have everyone start as ONE class like a page or something, then once reaching a certain level they can choose a "Fighting Path" such as swordsman, bowman, scribe(caster class). Then delve further like each "Fighting Path" get something like a bowman can become a Ranger and get a pet, or an Archer that does more damage then normal with a bow. So obviously theres a lot of work. With the plugins I've already installed I've changed quite a bit but I'm not oppose to removing and adding more if it makes the server more MMO functional. Then theres of course the zones/factions custom recipes for different types of armor and weapons. Guilds, certain chat channels... so kind of like a wow look alike but i want it to be more interesting and more random. If you'd like you can PM me and we can discuss this further as theres going to be a lot of work on this server (hence why I'm trying to recruit some willing and able help!)

    I can set up the leveling, guilds, chat channels, Armor, (Maybe) Factions (I'm Pretty sure) With heroes for you, Unless someone wants to code the plugin for you.

    Ok that would help a TON, I'm still kinda confused how heroes works, you can add factions and chat channels and guilds with it?(shows how much i know) I'd also like some custom skills for the higher level people that have made it to the end of their class levels aside from the ones heroes comes with. I doubt anyone would want to code it for me for free lol. But if i have to pay for a plugin that will do what i want then ill do what it takes for this server to be THE number one MMO type minecraft server!

    Currently there are only human npcs, but I have mob npcs on my todo list. Thatnks for the offer! If I need any help working on something, I will contact you. I only have about 1 year of programming experience (though I am coding my own client/server java game and linking it in with a separate web server), so I am happy to have people that can help me!
