[REQ] No Name tag

I need a plugin to take away or not show the players name tag above their head, but still show it in the chat box. thanks to whom ever does this

 

This would require Spout

yeah, found what it was, got it and teh client, but, how'd I make it so you can't see a players name tag above their head?

 

Check out HideMyName by @NinjaGrinch . It does require Spout.

Well, it is possible to hide em without spout/client mods, but then you loose your skins

I would love to remove the name of the player that shows above their head, without spout.
Why : cause I'm making a server and I don't fully trust Spout! (I don't want arguments against please)

Could you tell me how, or tell me the plugin?

I didn't quite catch that. But regardless, I saw the online-mode: false. Just know that offline servers are not supported by Bukkit... They shouldn't really be talked about. :3

 

I think you need a name changer plugin and change the name to . or something

 

Okay I am srry, what I tried to say is that: i dont wanna use Spout

 

ComeCloser lets you hide player name tags up to a configurable distance. I use it on my server, works well with Bukkit. It does not use (nor support) Spout, but it does require each user install the client mod, or they won't be able to connect.

If you don't want to use any client mods at all, then another option would be to use a plugin like DisguiseCraft to turn all players into another mob, a mob which doesn't have name tags. The disadvantage is players lose their custom skins.
