i keep geting viruses through my bukkit server

ok a while back i started someones permade bukkit server including working server starter me and my friends played on it for about 6hrs and i got a virus. we had to wipe all our existing stuff on the computer. ok we get the computer back we play on the server agin the virus comes back i removed it this ime and im niw sure that the virus come through the server how do i stop or prevent it did i do somthing wrong?

 

How do you know it is a virus/malware? What is telling you? What symptoms are there? Are you getting CraftBukkit and Plugins ONLY from the bukkit site?

 

i don't think it has anything to do with bukkit or plugins. It has to be something that you have installed.

 

Solution: Don't use that premade bukkit anymore. Set up a server on your own.
And just incase you're saying that the virus keeps coming back after you stopped using the premade server(which your topic never says you did btw), then I would suggest a good anti-virus program or possibly a complete system wipe.

 

Just Do an Avast! scan? or something.

 

Do an anti-virus scan. Don't blame Bukkit. There isn't even a way to access the host's computer. Unless you are really really good and find a way to use Minecraft packets to execute small pieces of code.
