I am just hoping somebody would do this. On a server I have there are people who want survival and some who want creative, and I don't want to manage two separate servers. What I want to do is take my existing survival map and set up a "creative zone". If you walk into this zone you instantly go into creative mode, when you walk out you go back to survival and get back the stuff you had when you entered. I don't want somebody to go into creative just so that they can easily walk out with 64 blocks of diamond. If anybody can create a plugin that can do this and work with worldguard and world edit it would be amazing.
Have you tried multiword? then you would only need one plugin, that changes your game mode depending on what world your in.
Are you talking about this? http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/tp-multiworld-v1-3-2-the-easy-multi-world-plugin-1060.35521/ I was once on a server that had something like that, but it was very problematic. The plugin tried to put the nether in SMP before it was done by mojang.
well, any multiword plugin would work. that one should do the trick, also you will need: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/mech-multiinv-v2-3-2-per-world-inventories-1060.4742/ now the only plugin you would need to find is a multiword game mode. i saw one around here but i can't seem to find it
Would multiworld require more ram and resources on the server? The server I am running does not have much in terms of horse power.
Yes goodBEan it does require more RAM however is not as intensive as a whole another server. Yes there is double the entities which can cause lots of lag. The original idea is much more practical you might want to pass it on to sk89 however they could throw items between the regions, but not if sk89 realizes this which he probably will. Hope this helped.
This thread is old and I forgot about it. Anyways since the recent 1.0 update I found my solution in a multiworld plugin with a warp. I have it running on running with no problems.
