    Everyone using PermissionsEx, Essentials, or anything else besides the regular permissions plugin or PermissionsBukkit should add or change this in their config under the Global section:
    LegacyPermissions: true
    As of 2.4.0 the bPermissions plugin is supported directly.​
    As of 2.3.7 the PermissionsBukkit plugin is supported directly.​
    This support is not done through the new built in Permissions that bukkit provides, because there is no way to get a players group using the built in methods. However, by supporting this directly, you can now use the new permissions system while still keeping Residence, and not having to use old permissions at all anymore.​

    About:
    Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.​
    Features:
    Features (open)

    • Allows players to define protected areas for themselves.
    • Individual permissions for each protected area. Land owner can give / deny permissions globally or to other specific players.
    • Different permissions per land include: move, build, use, pvp, fire, teleport, monsters spawn, damage prevention
    • Support for group permissions on protections.
    • Multi-World support.
    • Teleport system to allow users to teleport to residences.
    • Collision detection system to prevent residences from overlapping.
    • Limits to protected size can be set up by the admin.
    • Limits to number of protected areas per player can be set.

    • /res check [residence] [flag] <player> command, this command evaluates if <player> is affected by [flag] at [residence]. You can leave off <player> and it will use your name.
    • Added a LeaseAutoRenew config option, that will cause leases to automatically renew so long as the player has the money to do so. Note that, if economy is disabled this doesn't work, as there would be no point to leases. Needs Testing! :)
    • Global FlagPermission config section, that allows you to give permission to use a flag to all groups, useful for the build / move / use flag that you almost definitely want everyone to have access to. Flags under each individual group will overrule these.
    • You can now set a limits on how deep or how high protections can go into the group, using each groups MinHeight and MaxHeight settings.
    • /res select sky, and /res select bedrock commands, these auto adjust to the above mentioned MinHeight and MaxHeight settings, so it won't select into a area you can't protect.
    • Rent system implemented.
    • Many bug fixes, including proper creeper explosion prevention now. Also, fixed some bugs when renaming residences.

  3. I just want nodes to residence thing, IMO these conf things just suck, i can configure them but it would be easier to just have nodes.
    I know that there is some nodes but i think that there should be more.

    I just installed this and it seems to be working...but in 1 little area that has no residences on it 1 player out of MANY can't place anything...he can place about 15 blocks away from that 1 area...any ideas?

    But in 1 direction he can place blocks about 5 blocks away =/ which is odd

    He is the only one having issues =/

    He gets no errors on his end just the block returns to his hand...


    Figured out that its related to the spawn point (forgot I changed it)

    No idea why though..he still is the only one who has the issue.

    I HAVE IT :D totally forgotten, it's not a bug. You just have 2 write eg: /resadmin select House or /resadmin create lol :D thats it, thankz to me

    Hi, I just installed you plugin along with the signs mod, and I'm having a problem. We are building a city with plots and want to sell them to players via signs in a single building. In order to sell the plots, the admin must first own it. We have a limit to the max allowed plots and its not letting us buy the plots for selling. Is there a way so the admin doesn't own the plot but can still sell it? Like in a market. We have tried using Server Land but we don't have the rights to sell the plot via signs. Please help!

    i got a problem... i'm a OP and i havent a permission plugin but i'm OP and i have no permission to use all commands :confused:? why? i just can make a terrain and put it to sell or buy it but i cant remove, place on market sell?

    Incredible plugins! It is one of my favorites. I have a small doubt. How do I expand an area?, I tried putting the command "/res select expand <number>" but does not seem to take effect, the area still has the same size how is it?

    I forgot to say that I want to expand an area already created.

    I am having the same issue veseto was. I get an internal error when I try and do a /res create Test command.

    My exact server commands are pretty simple:
    <right click>
    <left click>
    /res create Test
    *Internal Error*

    My server is a basic Bukkit server, I have bPermissions but it is not currently set up (I'm still setting this server up).

    I have the same problem but i have the bukkit for 1.0.0, and thats the problem residence do not work with bukkit 1.0.0. I hope this plugin will be updated in the next week, i need it on my server for the protctions of our raids ;D

    question : i got config , so nobody can build before they get an area, but now i get permissionsbukkit and nobody can expand their selected cuboid up , they dont have permission but only permission i can find is
    residence.create: true
    but they CANT expand with that, what to do now ?

    @bekvon I need some help with your plugin. Either it is not reading the groups or im not configuring the config correctly. I want to define groups in the config. But when I do that Residence stops working so its probably me doing something wrong. I have permissions 3.1.6 (latest) and my groups are defined as: Newbies, Regulars, Pre-M0ds, Mods, Admins. I want admins to be able to create unlimited plots to sell via the sign mod. But I want Newbies and regulars to only be able to own one plot. We had a problem with people buying 5 plots and none left for others. I have tried multiple times trying to get this to work, its the only thing standing in my way with my server. PLEASE help me. Google can't seem to find anyone else with this problem. Thank you.

    @Laguna You must select the area and before creating the plot use /res select vert on the area. And then you can use /res create plotname. I got stuck on that too.

    Guys I need some help. I played on a server which used this addon but only thing you had to do was to put down a crafting table and then you had a protection on 16x16 blocks down to level 50. I've heard it was a modified version of this plugin but do you have any idea is there any place where I can download this modifiied version? Or you know how to change it in that way that player only have to put down a crafting table? Please answer.

    Okay, I'm usually pretty quick about this stuff... but I'm stumped.

    How do you select an area you've already created?
    Once its selected, will I have any problems expanding that area?

    I've tried:
    /res select residence TownName
    /res select TownName
    /resadmin select residence TownName
    /resadmin select TownName

    Nothing seems to work.

    I'm using 2.4.4 with bukkit version 1597 (1.0.1-R1)

    @Kimberly2000 If you are having a problem expanding the selection to max up and down, Select the area and before you do /res create <name>, type /res select vert This will expand it to the maximum up and down level giving the area full protection. Remember to do it BEFORE you create the residence. Hope I helped. I also have found some bugs that the dev's have made. I will post them shortly.

    @Everyone I need to define multiple groups in Residence's config, but I am not sure how to do that correctly. I don't know where it stops and starts. If someone could, upload a config with 5 groups pre-added named like defualt or something just make sure the format is correct. It would help me wonders and you may get a good rank on my server. Hope someone will help soon. Thank you.

    I created an area. Left clicked a block, then right clicked on another, did /res create Town.
    That worked with no problem. 3126 blocks.

    I logged off.

    I logged back on.

    I want to expand the town east and include the next 3126 blocks.

    I cant seem to select the Town to expand it.

    What am I doing wrong?
