Has anyone else noticed the problems whenever you warp in the server? I have tried the latest essentials, mywarp and a few others and all seem to have problems loading chunks after warping long distances. I have the latest craftbukkit (#432). Is the problem related to bukkit or the plugin? I also have permissions 2.1 working.
I just posted another thread with warp issues. Are you warping in-world or between worlds? It does seem a bit slower, but tolerable. My issue is that when I travel between worlds, I begin having issues being able to break blocks.
I've seen the same thing - I warp to a location on the other side of my map, and I get to watch the world load around me. I haven't seen any other issues though, they still warp me to the correct spot.
I don't get how it's a client issue though (I'm the one who made the bug report). The chunks are loading in a left-to-right manner from the far-left corner, and the speed at which they load seems to be based on the connection speed of the server. I don't get how, if the server were sending the current chunk, then the surrounding chunks, and so on, the client would start with the farthest possible one, and take forever to get to the current one, when it's on a slow connection.
Good point Now im curious as well. I added some debugging messages and the sending takes quite a while http://pastebin.com/XtWwCTyR This was tested on a local 100Mbit connnection with a quite fast server The chunks far away appeared first
there was a temporary fix released that generated the chunk your in first but I don't know where to find it.
