External download link

One of the main things keeping me from using bukkitdev is the fact that I have to manually update the download every time I make a change. Instead of having to update the plugin on multiple sites, I use an external link that is always the same so I just change that one file and it's done. It'd be nice if bukkitdev allowed me to do this, or even if you could give it an rss feed (from Bamboo or Jenkins, etc) so it can update based on that if there is some reason you want downloads to be hosted on the bukkitdev site and want a version history.

 

See, the thing is, an external download link would mean that they couldn't verify that it isn't a virus for each update.

 

Hence my suggestion of pulling in updates from an rss feed and downloading each update onto the bukkitdev server(s).

 

You'd still have to wait for them to verify it. However that is a good idea.

You might be able to make a program to do this on your end for you, as I believe you can automate uploads using the API key available to you on BukkitDev.

One doesn't quote the op, because the op gets an alert whenever anyone replies to their post anyway.

Not always true, it's possible to create threads and not subscribe to them.

 

Good point, but I'm talking generally.
How often do people quote the OP?
Also, I've been lazy. I need to get back on IRC more.
