Can someone explain for me what is the diffrend ? im trying to set up server and recommeded builds say 1.8.1 when i see on minecraft.net 1.0.1 this is little confuseing im seting up server like i said can someone here be so kind and paste to me what is best to take since this is all messing with my head :=) thx alot
Bukkit is currently updated only for 1.8.1 on it's Recommended Builds. Bukkit does not update while Minecraft does, they need to wait for Minecraft to be released. There are stable builds you can use, but they may contain bugs: http://ci.bukkit.org/job/dev-CraftBukkit/
do i need to rename thad file to craftbukkit-0.0.1-snapshot ? since my craftbukkit starter wont load it when its called craftbukkit-1.0.0-snapshot?
Be sure that there's no (2) or anything else in the title. Windows tends to do that with multiple files of the same name.
there is no (2) its just that name of the file isint the same as the launcher ask for ... launcher ask for 0.0.1 when the file name is 1.0.0
No, you do not. The name of the CraftBukkit jar file is of no importance as long as the start script knows it by that name. Also, just in case. If you're trying to use CraftBukkit build 1337, be aware that players with Minecraft 1.0.0 won't be able to play on the server.
