    What is Safe Creeper
Control creepers, Withers, EnderDragons, Enderman, TNT, Fireballs and a lot more!
With Safe Creeper you can control creeper explosions and other things like, fireballs, TNT, Enderman and a lot of other things, you can set if a creeper explosions destroys blocks. You can set if Zombie's can break down doors. You can also set a lot of other things, the possibilities are almost endless! A few other examples are that you can set up if players are able to use TNT blocks, if creepers will explode above the surface and underneath they wont, set if Enderman can place and break blocks, even if they can clone blocks, explosion sounds, smoke effects and a lot of more things. The plugins is fully configurable and it has multi world support. This is a must have for most server administrators.

    Example Video
This is an video witch explains the config file system of an older version of Safe Creeper, it should work very similair with the current version. This video also shows you some features from Safe Creeper:

    Features
This is a small list of features witch Safe Creeper can provide for your server. If you want to see the full list, and a list of planned features, visit this page: Page: Features

    Connections to the outside
Safe Creeper does setup connections to the outside, to other servers than the server Safe Creeper is running on. In the current versions (v1.3.6 and above) Safe Creeper does connect to the following servers; The first connection Safe Creeper sets up is a connection to the update servers of Safe Creeper. This update server is a separated server hosted by timvisee.com (developer of Safe Creeper). The connections to the update servers are made on each start up, and each hour while the plugin is running. These connections can be disabled inside the config file of Safe Creeper underneath the node 'updateChecker'. Because of the update checker and the auto updater Safe Creeper does also setup a connection to dev.bukkit.org to download the newest plugin versions. Other connections are made to the servers of mcstats.org, this is a service Safe Creeper uses to add live statics, like the amount of servers running Safe Creeper, these statics are fully anonymous. Connections to mcstats.org and live statics usage can be disabled inside the Safe Creeper configuration file.

Haha. Yeah they're really annoying! I wasn't able to butcher them with World Edit because it doesn't recognize the Enderdragon yet, I'm guessing, since it's not updated for 1.0 :p

Something that would be awesome is being allowed which blocks can be destroyed/griefed and which can't. Right now turning off Destroy World for any explosion element stops it from effecting any blocks(which is good, if that's what you want). Personally, I would like my TNT to still be able to chain(massive balls of boom anyone?) but setting TNT to Destroy World = false does not allow TNT to do this.

There's another plugin called MiningTNT. It's very close to what I'm looking for, but is still very very buggy. If you could implement this into this plugin, it would be so much greater IMO.

Hmmmm, I'll take a look, its probably a little bit hard for me to implement this, but yes, I'll take a look at it ...

I used to use a plugin called BlastControl. I liked BlastControl because I could essentially have creepers still explode and destroy blocks, but what happened was far fewer blocks were destroyed. You still got the effect, but instead of a huge crater, it was more like a bit of rubble instead.

Sadly, it's no longer maintained, and it certainly seems like this is the next best alternative. Would you be able to look into adding a way to simply decrease the amount of damage (radius, etc.) these explosive effects do rather than disable or enable them completely?

I like the idea, and thanks that you're using this plugin now, I'll try to add this feature in the upcomming release, I also like something like this. :) and it shouldnt take too long for the next release :)

    Craftbukkit just tweeted this:

    "[CraftBukkit]
    http://git.io/5FcHvg
    Andrew Ardill - Add EntityEnderDragon"

Does this mean you are now able to add EnderDragon support? :D

Probably yes :D, I probably wait 1 more day or so if the blaze and snowman support isn't added.. if they add this tomorrow, or maybe it already has this feature I'll release the next version (of course I also need some time for programming!)

This would be greatly appreciated. For now I've compromised by allowing explosions to effect certain layers where most people don't build. That way I can still have my massive balls of doom while everyone else is mostly safe... well, their builds are. >;)

See, my reasoning for what I asked for is that I eventually want to add a cannon-range to my server. This would allow those players who have a tendency for tnt a place to "vent". If I can limit what the tnt can effect without nerfing it completely, that would be great. xD

    any news yet?
cus i found out when this or all the other anti creeper plugins are installed, blazes wont spawn, next to that snowman are gone instantly, somehow i thin enderman dont spawn to.

would be great if the people on my server finallly be able to craft a brewing stand:p

@Rensik So do you mean you want to create a region with other settings that the default settings for the whole world, so you want to enable TNT explosions (for example) inside some regions, isnt it?
I'll try to find a solution for this, oh and also, there are going to be permissions nodes for some features like TNT place or something...

@Geintje2 well, if you ask me if I'm finished soon with the upcomming version with blaze and snowman support, yes, I'm nearly finished :)

Ya nerfing dragons would b great. I spawned on in my server and kinda destroyed everything while trying be be dragonborn

Hopefully if u add regions u don't make it too complicated. Alot of times plugins add so many features it gets complicated and annoying to use

I don't need region control. That's what WorldGuard is for. I just want to be able to choose, as an option, which blocks get destroyed/affected by explosions/endermen and so forth. This plugin goes a long way towards that aspect, but is still a bit too "cut and dry" on its control. A "bit of spice" would be nice. ;)

Hey will you be making a devbukkit page?

  23. Offline

    Tim Visee

Yes :), but i'm currently not sure when its finished, srry

Well, I almost done the dev.bukkit.com page, you'll find it right here http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/safe-creeper/
There need to be added a few more things on the page but you could take a look at it and maybe share it with other people or send some bugs or something.

Hey man I love this mod so much! I was just wondering if it works with the new craftbukkit-1.0.1-R1.jar?

Yes it works fine, and there are no problems, but there currently isn't blaze snowmand and support for all those 1.0.0 features, I'm working on this, this version should be released soon! :)

Disabling TNT player damage does not seem to be working since the 1.0.1 release build of crafbukkit (#1597). Everything else seems to be working fine though.

Are you seeing the same issue Tim? Maybe it is just my setup, but any other TNT damage protector plugin I've tried is not working either.
