I didn't mean to start an argument.
I personally just feel this kind of misinformation should not be left uncontested on a forum full of aspiring programmers.
Licensing is complex but also incredibly important.

I'm sorry it turn out this way. I'm personally fine with the entire portion of off-topic licensing discussion is removed as long as no misinformation is left behind.

Can I just respond to @V10lator? I don't believe I am debating the terms but whether @PurelySatanic is breaching them, which I think is the original essence of this topic. If you'd prefer we also stop doing that I'm happy to do that privately as well (and will keep a copy of this post incase you want to delete it and me to convey it otherwise).

@V10lator. I don't see anywhere where anyone who claims to have knowledge has proved or even claimed that @PurelySatanic has conveyed the non-specified plugin (including adding to anywhere anyone can access it) till after you claimed the server has "public access". By this do you mean that @PurelySatanic has put his copy of the plugin somewhere that others can acquire it from. THAT is the meaning of the word "convey" and the term "make available to".

    The part you quoted specifies:
What happens with the plugins installed on a server is what this refers to. Just having a plugin/bukkit installed on a server only constitutes interaction since the users do not receive a copy of the code, just receive responses from it. As far as I can tell that is all anyone claims has been done.

Obviously if you have evidence that @PurelySatanic has distributed/conveyed/allowed copies to be acquired in some way you should present it to the proper people (I guess you could post it here, to allow him to publicly defend himself. But giving @NuclearW the information would seem a better idea. He could then get higher up staff involved if appropriate. Publicly accusing people but refusing to present evidence incase they "hide" it isn't they way things should be done).

    Vhab and PurelySatanic like this.

I would really rather the argument over licenses stay in private messages... That said, as I said before, message me if there is a real issue so it can be handled, slanderous posts in a public forum are not the way to go.
