In order to centralize support of our legacy projects, we will no longer be providing support on Bukkit. Please use www.spout.org for support with our projects going forward.

Trust me I know haha, get those developers. I just haven't learned my lesson. Following that wiki has caused me to get all backwards with AuthDB on several occasions.

    how do i fix this?

It would be nice if it were that easy. But i cannot gain any access to the passwords, therefore i don't know how to add nore edit.
Ive left messages, but no feed back has been givin. so i gave up.

It looks like you are trying to use a custom database table without having it enabled. If so, you can enable customdb under advanced.yml.

Does it have to be hashed?
Is there a way i can create a user name and pw, for other users?
I don't want random people joining unless they email me first.
if i like them, i will let them join, im using a offline server

There are no admin commands to create users yet. The focus of AuthDB is for forum integration. If you'd like a more advanced local auth, then I suggest xAuth.

    enkious

xAuth also has hash.. cannot create users.
I want people to beable to email me, "Hey i want to play on your server!"
So i get in config file, add Bob=1hg5b62
then i say, "ya sure, heres your pw! 1hg5b62"

I don't want users to get on my server and beable to register.
    Grifers are out there!

Do u know of a plugin like this?

xAuth has a command for adding users I believe, so manually modifying isn't necessary. You can also disable registrations for regular users with it. I'd go with it as it seems like what you need.

Uhh, there are commands to add and remove. https://github.com/CypherX/xAuth/wiki/Commands

i talk with a friend expert on c# php java c c++ ecc and he say the mac adress ban it's possible with spout and and who connect to your server need to aprovate a contract to send personal information about hardware on server.

    sry for my bad english

    Wulfspider

Yes, it's possible with a client mod, but not for vanilla clients. Spoutcraft doesn't have anything that can do that for you right now. MAC address can be changed as well, and quite easily.

How do you turn off encryption???

  15. Offline

    Wulfspider

Uhhh, why would you want to? I believe you can just leave the encryption field blank if you are doing a custom database. Scripts will always use whatever the script uses. I wouldn't trust a host that didn't encrypt though.

    Aza24

    Wow that was fast...
Um I use my own form which users register on
Leaving the encryption blank makes it say incorrect password.

    Wulfspider

You should learn how to do at least basic encryption either way. It's not hard.

Are you sure you aren't using some form of encryption? Also, do you see any console messages about it?

    Have a look here: http://endercraft.cz.cc/site/join.html
On the database it shows the passwords with no encryption

This is the error I got when trying to register through the plugin:

why does server connection reset after 8 hours?

  20. Offline

    Wulfspider

You need to be a little more specific.

Not really sure, I haven't tested plaintext in the longest time as it's not something anyone really uses.
I suggest using one of the supported encryption types. I'll test plaintext when I have time, but no guarantee on a fix at this time.

hey i wanted to know what happens if the website goes down for a day? does it store the login/user info locally?

No, but there are plans to allow already registered users to login when MySQL is down. I'm not sure about new registrations though.

    Hello
My AuthDB.db file grows in size for ~3 Mb per 3-4 days.
When it reaches size of more than 1 Mb players that jump into lava cause server crash.

    bukkit.yml is default
CB 1454 (doesn't matter though: problem occurs on previous versions too)
    AuthDB 227

    Can you help please?
    Thank you.

Has nothing to do with MC 1.0.0. You are trying to use a custom database but haven't enabled the customdb option in advanced.yml from the looks of it.

Sorry for bothering you, but it's very frustrating.

I don't really have an answer for that right now. The person who did all the eBeans coding for AuthDB.db has been away for quite some time. I suggest either trying another plugin for now until I can get some more developers together to work on AuthDB.

Nice work, Wolf. Great respect for that.

  31. Can someone explain me why all my users are logged in instantly? I mean, even after 2 months they still dont need to login again. Everytime the server says : Hey I remember you!
Ok this is not a really big prob, but I just like to set it to once a day or something.
    Im using it with phpbb.
