    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More​

    Description
    Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

    Looking for the old version that runs on CraftBukkit 1000? We don't have it anymore :( Here's an archive of the old help post. If you're a new user, we REALLY recommend using Multiverse 2..

    People can't log into my 1060 Bukkit Server!:
    Are you using spout? If so, you need to upgrade it to a dev version or disable it until those guys release a 1060 compatible version.

    How do I know if I'm running CB XXXX or higher?:
    Type /version. The number here is your CB version:
    This server is running Craftbukkit version git-Bukkit-0.0.0-980-g4ed23b1-b1060jnks (MC: 1.7.3)
    Please check that this version is the same as one of those in the title of the post.

      • Also commands are properly disabled when a Permissions plugin is not found and it will alert the player trying to use the Command.

    We're testing MV on our 1.9pre5 server; everything is pretty much working as expected. If you'd like, we can test 2.2 for you. After dealing with Mojang's set of bugs, I'm sure yours aren't going to be much worse ;)

    Did the command, all worlds seem to exist.
    Still when I type
    /mvmodify set mode creative peaceful

    It says the world does not exist.

    Hi, FernFerret,

    Just giving you a heads up on some possible complaints of "lag" that might come through. You've correctly identified that "PermissionsEX" lags ALOT with multiverse. This is also the case with GroupManager.

    GroupManager has, however, updated (fixing the insane lag spike when changing worlds), but the release for this update has not been made official yet.

    If you get complaints about lag, this could be another possible cause. It was, at least, for myself, until I updated to the latest dev. build of Essentials Group Manager =)

    HEEEEEEEEELP!!! I will give you a cookie if you help! I have everything working. I have my mods and builders and admins with the permission of - multiverse.portal.access.* but, it doesn't work! You have to be an op for it to work!! HELP PLEAAASSSE!

  11. Yea as I stated, it hasn't been tested in a while, and I know several breaking changes have happened since implementation.

    Not to sound cynical, but when I ask people in our IRC to help me test, I get few responses... and I'm left to test alone. When this happens, stuff breaks. :(

    EDIT: Will test this weekend.

    Thanks a bunch. Will pass on. If you want to edit the wiki to reflect this, you'd be awesome :)

    I don't know what to tell you, try mvtping to that world, then setting it's properties. If you can tp to it, mv knows about it.

    Hmm no generators are listed, honestly, as I said 2 posts up, when people don't help me test, I break the things I don't use :(

    Will test this weekend.

    Hopefully the merger of the unittest branch will help with this.

    Make a part of the wiki dedicated to bugs; remove the issues as you fix them. Mojang does it, why not follow the example :p

    First of all, what permissions plugin are you using? Second, pastebin your config and put a link here. We may be able to help you.

    This is how I run things;
    1. I have a server setup that has only PTM and world border installed.
    2. Configure PTM to generate a world.
    3. Tell world border to fill the world to an arbitrarily set world size.
    4. Copy the world to my server and import it using Multiverse.

    So there's no need to use PTM once the world is created, I just set the border to smaller than the world that was created and I'm done.

    It is possible with this plugin to have a new flag on the world :

    "autoload" : on / off

    Because i have some world will be on some day.

    The unload command permit that but when i reboot the server the world is load.

    I use onetimecommand to schedule load and unload world but i reboot sometimes :/

    Whenever I try to make a portal this comes up,

    "Multiverse doesn't know about world yet.
    Type /mv import ? for help!"

    Then when I Type "/mv import ?" and try to import something the import menu just comes up again.

    multiverse.access.<worldname> doesn't seem to work after updating PEX from 1.15 to 1.16 anymore. Only the multiverse.access.* node is working :/

    Sounds like an issue with PEX. From what I understand, they break bukkitpermissions in many ways..

    I think youre right. I should switch to another permissions plugin after getting some problems with PEX. Do you recommend a permissions system that works well with multiverse?

    ive been using bPermissions, it has importers for most permissions plugin, and is true to bukkit permissions.

    Please add feature that lets minecarts with people in them teleport effectively. Also it would be cool if you could fill the portal with something like water.

    I prefer BukkitPermissions myself, it's very simplistic and easy to understand. A little bit of work, but it meshes perfectly with SuperPerms (native Bukkit permissions).

    Hey i'm having a slight problem installing the latest version at this time. I have downloaded the core multiverse and dragged to plugins (I have the latest version of Bukkit at this time). After this nothing happens when I reload or restart the server. No config file no nothing. Any help? Sorry fo so little info.

    Hi,
    i habe a problem with Multiverse :D i cant find the permissions for the gamemodechange.
    my problem is: i'm OP and if i enter my creativewrold , my gamemode is creativemode.
    But if a normal User comes in this world , the gamemode from him , doesnt change.
    In the Worldconfig has the world the gamemode: CREATIVE.

    I hope anyone can help me! :D

    I think the problem are the permissions (i use PermissionsEX) , but wich permissions?

    in config.yml, find the following:

    enforcegamemodes: false
    change it to true.

    then go to your console and type:
    Code:
    /mvreload
    should work.

    it is on true .. but by normal members without all permissions (like a Admin) or OP , the Gamemode doesnt change .. It works fine with the permission: '*' (all) or as OP

    But what is the problem , that it doesnt work with normal members ?
