Server already running?

    So I tried starting my bukkit server in Terminal, and this is what came up:

    21:29:04 [INFO] Starting minecraft server version Beta 1.8.1
    21:29:04 [INFO] Loading properties
    21:29:04 [INFO] Starting Minecraft server on *:25565
    21:29:04 [WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT!
    21:29:04 [WARNING] The exception was: java.net.BindException: Address already in use
    21:29:04 [WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port?

    I don't have any other server running, so what should I do? My friend had the same problem, but we couldn't figure out why. Anyone know if we did something wrong?

    Simple, restart your computer. If It still consists, change the Port Number to 25566 (plus, you have to Port Forward It in order for people to join your server).

    @ lx_DarkDragon_ or he could just kill the process.

    Have you tried joining the server? If you can type '/stop', else you run the risk of corrupting your world.
