Mysterious Cape Appearance

    Just today I saw that my friend had a Creeper cape.
    1. He doesn't have a premium account
    2.My server doesn't use Spout or anything similar
    3.He says that he killed a lot of creepers.

    an so how do you get a cape?
    my bukkit is the 1337 build

    NPC's on my server get that. Red cape with a creeper face on, right?
