I have plugins that change the playerlists (TAB & /list) and join/quit messages to display players' nicknames instead of their real Minecraft names, but if players use /me, it still displays their realname (which obviously looks very weird). Is it possible to change the /me output to display players' nicknames?
It sure is. Seeing as /me is an Essentials command (off the top of my head) It would need either them to implement it, Or somebody to change the code, then merge the fork into the main source of essentials. All that needs changing is how Essentials gets the player's name for that one instance. Give us a shout if you want me to fork you off a branch of Essentials and code it up for you
Ok, I will take a peek at the Essentials code in just a second. Just working on an Update to stooltab at the mo. I will post again when Im done Right, just taken a look at the actual Essentials /me code, and Its not looking good. At the moment, /me is suffering with the same problem as StoolTab. The only plugin I know that sets display names is iChat. As a workaround to this, I am going to write (*sigh* yet) another plugin. It will fix the problems of chat plugins not setting display names. Its in the pipeline, but It will be made "tonight" as an initial release. I will make a new thread in the Plugin section in a bit when I am a bit closer to release. Sorry for the hassle :L EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
Do not suffer any longer: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/chat-fun-dispnamechanger-3-0-change-names-spout-1000.13253/ (problem I am having is that this plugin lacks an active developer and that it automatically sets the Spout name as well (see my last post in that thread))
I'd greatly appreciate if you make this plugin =D Also, can you remove the Spout feature in http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/chat-fun-dispnamechanger-3-0-change-names-spout-1000.13253/ ?
