Hi i just thought of making a statue of me but i have SOOO many colours on me so it would be nice to have a plugin where you could type in /cm 'PlayerName'
then it would create a status of the person that you have chossen with the blocks needed to make the colours!

If any1 thinks it sounds good then please give it a try (Im able to make)

i am sure this is impossible, as your character is just "painted" with an image and there will be no way to get this to blocks

but correct me if i am wrong

I'm going to go with your correct sir. Unless spout has a way to grab single pixels from a players skin, then grab the material with the closest colour to that, it's impossible. Bukkit does not have any way to check the players skin.
Also seeing as it would have to grab each pixel to make it accurate, the statues would be fairly large..

@Perdog The skins are hosted on the minecraft server. Easy to find. The server could just open it and parse.

Hmm that would require an image parser, and a color -> block converter.
Most times the converter will fail, and create low-contrast images...
    You'd better go to /gamemode 1
and build the statue yourself xD

Yeh. Def possible...but so much more effort than worth. Actually...what the hell, I'll give it a shot. It should never be about how long its takes...it should be about whether it can be done!

I'm crap at quantization...so if anyone wants to contribute their algorithmic skills of awesome...

@Perdog I'm actually cruising along faster than expected. I have just completed the code that converts the image into minecraft block friendly colors. (Kind of cheating though(also kind of not good enough for real use(but good enough for proof of concept)))
