[REQ] SuperLightweightFactions I CAN PAY!

• "/faction join (faction)" puts a player into a faction.
• "/faction chat" puts a player into their factions private chat channel.
• Faction prefix while in global chat.
• Friendly fire off within the faction.

If you simply want to have it for the chat feature, I recommend using HeroChat. Let each "Faction" have their own passworded chat channel and you are good to go.

 

Edited, there's some stuff I didn't have time to put on the post. HeroChat simply won't work.

 

unless im missing something cant "factions" do all this.

Using the config files in factions you can make it do exactly what you are wanting without the claiming land and such.

 

I'm tired of factions. All the stupid land protection stuff is just unnecessary in my case... I'd rather have something lightweight.

 

So you only want the chat part?

So, if I understand you right.
You want to:
- make people join a faction
- have a /chat command for the players in that faction.
- player prefix in global chat

I can do that

Ah ninja'd. If no-one else does it, i'd do it, but it sounds like Techguard can handle it.

 

You're just forgetting one thing:
