Ok so basically heres my setup, I run a server (IBM x366) which has 2 gigabit ethernet ports, 1 of which is connected to my internets the other goes to my main machine, which also has two gigabit ehternet ports, 1 of which goes to the internet, and other to the my server. What I am trying to accomplish is directly connecting (bypassing my router(it has A LOT of traffic)), and playing "locally". Im trying to avoid setting up a DHCP server on the MC server, to avoid conflicting issues with the server running. I have a static IP address issued, but doesnt work when i try to connect. Any Ideas?

Well thats the problem, im trying to bypass the routers IP to not have the traffic of MC clogging up my router. In a sense, pretend my local machine is not connected to the internet. Only DIRECTLY from one ethernet port to another, to the server from my machine.
